Yes, confused. No, I'm not Apostolic by the definition that seems to be in effect here on AFF.

Then I am saved. (Of course, many would take exception to my claim to "believe"! And many would claim that my baptism was not valid!)

Then I'm not saved!

But seriously, it has been difficult to understand what these folks really believe, you know? They can't even agree among themselves what they believe! And of course the reason for the confusion and conflict couldn't be because there are any flaws in their doctrine!

Well, maybe I should keep trying to figure it out, or maybe I should give up and try some other religion. Maybe the Mormons know what they believe!

See that's why you have to obey your pastor! Because then it doesn't matter about the differing views, as long as you listen to what your pastor says.

To be honest though, I still think of myself as being pretty much an OP. I do believe in oneness, and do disagree with the trinity. I am a "3-stepper" and do believe that baptism should be done by immersion and in Jesus name, and that the intial evidence of the Holy Ghost is speaking in tongues. The rest is negotiable

(I thought I knew, but I'm not sure now. Just want you to spell it out for me, please.)
You need to place your complete faith and trust in Jesus. Repent of your sin (death), be buried with Him in baptism (burial), and receive the Spirit (resurrection). In addition you must call on His name. Confess your faults one to another and pray for one another. Confess Christ, if you deny Him He will Deny you. You must have works as evidence of your faith. etc etc etc. An obedient heart does not look for ways not to obey, but simply obeys. They don't disobey simply because they don't think something is necessary for salvation, even if it is not necessary for salvation.

This isn't a monolithic church board. There are many members here with varying views. Mormons are monolithic. Southern Baptists are monolithic. Roman Catholics are Monolithic. This is not "The UPC Board".

Thank you. I'm saved again. (Unless I haven't done 'etc etc etc'.)

You might be "saved"....the bible presents salvation in past, present and future terms. At some point when presented with the truth I hope that a saved person would obey it rather than fight it.
