I am reminded of that story where a guy was stuck on top of a roof during a flood. Three boats came by to get him but he said he was waiting on God to help him. Finally he drowned and in heaven he asked God why God didn't help him and God said, "Dude! I sent THREE people to help you!"

I have not went through all 13 pages of this thread, so maybe someone else has already said this.

I don't see how the pastor could not take the tithe if he believes it is a Biblical command. He could and likely should spare himself any grief by simply donating the money to locale charities that help families in need, abused or neglected children, police, fire and rescue, homeless shelters etc are all groups that could have benefited form the money.
