Brother, if you choose to be rigidly legalistic about some things in your own household, that's your business. But don't come on an internet forum trying to foist your personal convictions on other saints.

See my friend, thats where you are wrong. I am not trying to force my convictions on anybody, just like I don't feel like anybody is forcing theirs on me! Maybe you are this forum for the wrong reason, but these are only friendly, and should be, civil debates. At times they get out of hand, and I must admit I am at fault with that, but nobodies convictions are being forced on anybody! And by the way, we were never allowed to go to disney.com for that reason. In fact, when we were younger we weren't allowed on the internet except with our parents their to help us, such as with school, etc...

Of course I do not know you so this is not directed at you in particular, but I have noticed that a lot of the people who are so hard-line UC do not really learn how to guard their heart. I have heard many hard-liners complain after church about what a lady was wearing and how much it showed...and if you put a gun to my head I could not have told you who they were talking about because I'm not even looking at or for that.
Perhaps this is why many of them find it so inconceivable that someone can be responsible and disciplined in what they choose to watch.
It's kind of like coloring in a coloring book versus painting on a canvas. There are those who are handicapped to the point that they think it is impossible to paint a beautiful picture with your heart unless all the lines are specifically given to you.

And I agree with you 100% on that! There are some men out there like that and I don't agree with it at all! A lot of times people worry about the outside appearence when they should be working on the inward! But at the same time, some people don't even bother with the outward, but everything on the inward! There should be a balance! And if your heart is right, then the outside will work out!

You still can see that stuff on the Internet. Someone can come here and post porn. It happened at GNC a couple times. Someone can email you pictures. Sad but true.

Also no filter is fool proof unfortunately with the internet.

There are channel blocks on TV too, which many Christian families use.

But many of the anti-tv crusaders seem to forget, or ignore, that fact.

I just call it how I see it, brother.

From the arguments and counterarguments you've been trying to make on this thread... you seem to be unwilling to accept the fact that Christians can have a TV at home, and use good judgment about what to watch or not watch, and what to let their children watch or not watch.

Exactly. And many have not just internet at home but they have cell phones that can get the net
