Sarah Palin is young yes, but she has been a Cheif Executive for 2 years (that gives her 2 years more experience than Barry when it comes to running government).
She has taken on Ted Stevens who heads the political machine in Alaska and won.
She is a brilliant accomplished outsider who actually has a history or reform.
McCain the Maverick who has never taken pork spending, picked a Maverick Republican woman, while the Barry the change agent went with one of the biggest institutional insiders washington has.
I think Barry's pick is the failure (considering he took a hit in the polls in the aftermath of the announcment)
Speaking of polls Fern, it will be interesting to see what happens after today.
You know, you make a great point. McCain sets aside the politics of the day to be a class guy, while the "class guy" Barry Obama in his speach was down right degrading to McCain on a personal level.
McCain = Classy
Obama = same old junk in a new wrapper.
What was Obama's exact quote when he referenced McCain's patriotism and saying something about they were for America also or they were there too.
He was trying to undermine the importance of McCain's patriotism. I don't think that's going to work, but it was a smart move on their part. Especially his wording, which escapes me.

McCain does have the experience the office needs with regard to foreign policy etc....Sarah Palin is the shot in the arm Washington needs...smart, young, committed to American values, family oriented and not afraid to take on the old guard. And the plus, she's a conservative christian. AND she's a mom....
I've had my doubts about McCain but I think Palin is the right choice to balance out his platform.
They both have a class about them, not this casual, relevance that the Obama camp seems to prefer. The office of President requires a certian amount of maturity and class.....not casual relevance. You know?
the evidence was in their remarks...McCain chose his words carefully and didnt sling dirt at Obama.....Obama's camp made some low-class, immature remarks about Palin.....I was actually surprised - on both reactions LOL

I know what you are talking about. It was the age old "we are partiotic too" line that Dems always whine about.
fact is, Obama voted to cut off funding for troops in harms way.
"I am a pratriot" is a bit hollow when you try to take away thier bullets while they are still fighting.

I dont recall exactly what he said but I rememeber thinking he shouldnt have gone there.....you dont discount McCain's patroitism and his military record...some things you should just have sense enough to leave alone.
