Well CP has been a blessing in our lives. He met my husband at a picnic, at the time we were evangelizing. My husband handed him a business card and he told my husband how many children we had and not to worry about the man our daughter was getting ready to marry, because he was going to be a preacher. 4 years later that son-in-law told our daughter he was called. That SIL was not raised in church and had only been in church 6 months when CP spoke the prophecy. 2 years later I too got to meet CP, he nailed everything about my health to a tee. 1 of our sons walked up and he "read" his health totally.

Sometimes I have been "disappointed" in some stuff that has been spoken to us as "prophecy" but a dear sister reminded me of the scripture that says, "prophesy in part". The trouble with a lot of people used in this gift is that they want to add to what God says for them to say. For example: I was in a meeting Bro. Mark Morgan was preaching and he said how a guy called him and told him he had a vision of MM and another older preacher with a red thread connecting them. The man went on to say and so you're supposed to take his church. MM stopped him and said was that in the vision? or just the first part? The guy stumbled over his words and said, just the first part.

Also, in the Old Testament it speaks of people prophesying out of their own spirit, causing those to hope that God didn't want to hope and causing those to dispare that God wanted to have hope.

There is nothing new under the sun.

The New Testament Church was a MIRACLE WORKING CHURCH of Signs, Wonders, Miracles and Gifts of the Holy Ghost. They had Apostles beyond the 12, Prophets and Evangelists that worked in the Supernatural in the might Name of Jesus Christ. We should see nothing less as New Testament believers!

Ive been in this thing for years, go to a large church, with folks hopping around and running isles, attend camp meeting every summer, dont miss wed nite church, and I aint seen nuttin' like what you have described. heard a bunch of stories, but just aint seen it!

Neither have I Kevin. Yet, I do not doubt that God can and does heal other people. Brother Pierce was persecuted in this region by his peers, except for two churches.

Maybe if your church was less like a circus you would see the mriaculous on a regular basis. Part of the package of the believer is healing the sick, raising the dead, cast out demons. The disciples didn't go ape crazy in church without a powerful manifestation of the miraculous. Just a thought from someone who used to be a part of the zoo.
