Jesus said "by their fruit you shall know them". If I see an apple tree bearing apples, am I being judgmental if I call it an apple tree? If an apple tree claims to be a banana tree but I see apples, am I being judgmental if I call it an apple tree in spite of the claims of the apple tree to the contrary?

Jesus said a good tree cannot produce evil fruit nor can an evil tree produce good fruit. I am not the one who determines the fruit, but I can see the fruit and I can call it for what it is. That's not being judgmental or breathing out lies. That's just stating the truth.

As Jack Nicholson said famously once in a movie "You can't handle the truth!"
Don't try to confuse tv1a with the facts! (the first sentence of your post is priceless! LOL)

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Would not be the kind of gravy train the big church was but a man could definitely survive on the tithe of 150 folks if a fair portion of them had good paying jobs.

Which one says it's an abomination?

CC1, the group that would follow TB would have blind faith, and more than likely simpletons who are influenced by showmanship. These types of people usually don't have the higher paying jobs which require analytical skills.

You could be correct and I could be wrong. According to my wife I have been wrong before.

Re: Prominent Memphis Area Pastor Resigns

When a man or woman of God begin to be used in any form of the five-fold ministry, it will either humble them in the sight of a mighty God OR it will lift them up into pride....and therefore, pride can take people down a dangerous path..to love the attention, the money, the lifestyle , and the fame...making the wrong choices thinking they are above the laws of even what they preach...
Then the manipulation begins and that itself births followers whom become blind to the "real" spirit of the manipulator.....

Staying the Word, in prayer, in a lifestyle of accountablity to others and to our God, is our hope ....

You can go ahead and assume that anything I say or do is wrong! (According to my wife!) j/k hehehehe

With the apparent attitude that TB has shown toward these events, I pity anyone who would follow him to a new church he might start!
