While I agree that one poster does not represent all of AFF....the fact that it is allowed to remain and not be deleted is quite disturbing to me. If such an accusation were to be made about AM or KP or JS or ___________ the list could go on and on.....a near riot would break out and such allegations would be pulled almost immediately.....JMO

I know Larry Booker. I went to his church in Arroyo Grande for around 8 years. While I no longer go to a UPC church, I will say that I can't see him doing the porn thing. I think that there's probably some double-standards going on with people watching tv or porn or videos or whatever on their computers, though. Just my opinion.

I don't agree with Larry Booker, but to accuse him of something like that without evidence or witnesses is sin.

I didn't take that "joehardy" post as an accusation again LB - it seemed that the poster was interested firstly in bringing up some very old news.

And secondly, in questioning the appropriateness of the "outrage" over television when "porn" on the Internet is really harder to block out than "porn" on television.

To accuse someone like LB of "porn" is a sin - in my opinion. But isn't it a sin to falsely accuse someone of accusing LB as well?

I certainly wasn't accusing him. (Which I'm not sure that you were saying I was.) I just know from when I used to go that there were a lot of double-standards. I'm not meaning necessarily him or his family. I mean the people in general. This thread is so long that I can't say I've read the whole thing and it's been 13 years since I've even been around it, so I'm not even sure what he said, but I really can't see him watching porn. (Or any of his sons/family, for that matter.)

I wonder if any of them have Internet? Granted there is nothing of any worth on the TV and I don't watch it, but there is everything under the sun on the Internet. Why can't they just be Christians. It is very sad when people think they are better than others because they think thier STANDARDS will get them to Heaven.

You don't have to look too far around here to find blogs from Dr Wilson and Miles Young. JUst do a search and you will get your answer, sort of.
