Believer isn't able to find his 'church' during the rule of the RCC before the reformers. He can't find a Oneness church nor a reformers church from 500-1500 so what has he proved in trying to discredit that Oneness died out with Sabellius and has only had a recent resurgence post Azuza street since he can't find his 'church' among the orthodox in that time frame?

I asked him in a personal e-mail and on this thread. I would genuinely like to see what he believes.

1. Who and where was the "real church" from 500AD to 1500AD?

2. When, where, and by whom was the trinitarian theory of the Godhead established as the official dogma of the "real church"?

3. What is the earliest manuscript that indicates a fully developed "trinity" theory-doctine of the Godhead?

I see no problem with allowing discussion on these doctrinal issues.

Neither do I ... I just wonder if we are intimidated by intelligent, articulate, courteous, and Spirit-filled trinitarians.

There will be no debating of the Oneness vs trinity here. Again, this is an Apostolic forum, and we are not going to open the door to those whose only intention is to come in and tear down our doctrine. We give a lot of leeway here, but this is the line we have chosen to draw.

I don't have a problem with people challenging our doctrine. If it cannot withstand human questioning and scrutiny we should abandon it. I for one believe engaging in challenging discussions "sharpens" our positions and effiency in submitting answers to the vaious questions that can be posed. I have absotely NO QUESTION as to the veracity of our doctrine and positions. On the other hand, opposition to our doctrine is constantly evolving to produce different "angles" of scrutiny and questioning that we haven't encountered before. I think it's healthy to engage in dialogue with those who don't agree with us!

I agree with you. Perhaps a space can be set up for Oneness apologetics, kind of like Deep Waters....away from fellowship hall?

Is moving this thread a sign we can engage in Oneness apologetics or are is this thread being sequestered away from tender hearts?

I like the concept of having an area to be able to engage in doctrinal apologetics... I hope that doesn't mean we are being sequestered!

What difference does it make where it abides. Click on "New Posts" and you'll see any new posts no matter where they are at............
