Indeed it is! Give it a shot, and I'm sure you'll hear the Gospel presented, and the Word of God honored by a pastor and congregation who have a correct understanding of who God is.

It may not be the "hoopin' and hollerin'" type of service that you're used to (in fact, I'm almost certain it won't be), but you'll find the Lord honored in sacred and solemn worship that doesn't draw attention to self, but rather directs it to One Who is worthy.

Which Lord will be honored? Lord Jesus or Lord God ( I don’t think the Holy Ghost made the cut ).

I am please requesting no snide comments about standards or "what kind of a person actually wants a church like that", etc. There are many threads on AFF I am sure on standards debates, so you can have at it there, please refrain here. The laid back pastor is in SoCal, Orange County. Lots of people who attend look like your typical UPC standards, those who don't don't and you never heard a thing about it. The pastor didn't criticize and browbeat about it, so guess what, the church people didn't either. He is a wonderful pastor. He wasn't a control freak, let's just say that. His general personality temperament didn't lend to it.

I mean, that's just kind of sad and shows someone who likes to be a bully.
