So because one is bringing truth to bear in this issue his attitude would be wrong? What about the attitude of Preachers who forbid men to wear beards for NO SCRIPTURAL REASON?

Who is it that has the bad attitude?

Yes ABSOLUTELY.....if your's or anybody's sole purpose of engaging a pastor/minister is to ramrod them into agreeing with what you believe to be the truth......then YES that is a wrong spirit and attitude.

Now if you truly desire one to see a biblical principle/truth, you approach them with a meek and humble spirit and allow them to see the fruit of the spirit in operation in your life. If they never see it/resist it.....then you have done your best.

But in the big picture.....is this really an issue to fight/divide over? There are millions going to hell and someone wants to argue over facial hair. I know.....you're saying right on man.....how can preachers make this such an issue......but it really does go both ways.......how many people are you going to win BECAUSE you have a beard....or because you don't?

Its bigger than beards my Apostolic Brother.

Are we under the law of Moses? Can we pick and choose what we like from it? Why is Duet. 22:5 valid and keeping the Sabbath is not?

See the point?

Re: Platform Standards

I also had a UPC pastor who, when my husband showed up at church with a goatee and asked, "Now Pastor, do you really think this beard will send me to hell?" replied with, "No, but it makes you look like a Trinitarian!"

Yes I see your point (although it is majorly flawed).........Never was the keeping of the sabbath stated as an abomination unto the Lord. you are completely missing mine. Please respond to my comment on the abomination unto the Lord. (post 104)

The BREAKING OF THE SABBATH was considered a sin that brought the death penalty. Why is this not valid today?

Let us look at abomination for a moment.

Lev. 11:9-12

9 These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat. 10 And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you: 11 They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination. 12 Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you.

YAH states this is an abomination under the Mosaic law. Same as Duet. 22:5

Do you preach that if men eat catfish, shrimp, and lobsters they are going to Hell? If not why?

Please read carefully... God did NOT say it was an abomination to HIM.

Equal opportunity for all! If women want to grow beards, go right ahead!
