Re: Romney VP Pick Today 9AM

Reckon what PO will say about this? Does a beer cost more than $1.00?

"President Obama stopped by the Iowa State Fair yesterday and bought voters beer at the Bud Tent."

By the way, "The Drudge Report" and "The Examiner" was my source for this.

Now, go and rub Romney's belly, he is going to be the answer to all of your dreams and give you all kinds of miracles.
I am more flabbergasted and dumbfounded than anything that someone would think it makes sense to not support the Republican nominee this year when he is running against the most liberal President in many decades.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Politicians have been buying voters with alcohol for years.

One of my sons-in-law went to SE Kentucky to help his uncle campaign. His uncle was a state representative. When my wife expressed surprise to our daughter that her husband was involved in politics in Kentucky, she reassured her that it was nothing like that. It's an old Kentucky tradition that you "sell" your vote. All my son-in-law was doing was delivering cases of liquor (I think it's a "dry" county) to people to buy their vote for his uncle in the upcoming election. By the way, the uncle is a Republican.

Well, you think that's bad--- in 2008 Ohio put Barack Obama in office when he won the state by more votes than we have voters.

Sam, this is what prompted me to post that! This was posted earlier by PO.

"Did they hand out some more free subways? - which they did in Waukesha, Wisconsin in April - on Primary day -again against the law. Election laws read that you cannot give something away worth more than $1. It's a felony. You know what the DA said, "We don't have evidence." LOL! Video all over the place.

Anyway, I wish someone would follow the rules and really want to change what goes on in Washington."

LOL! I can hear my mother right now - "Oh really. So, if they jump off the roof are you going to jump with them?"

It's simply just the law. I don't know why that is so hard to follow.

Quote:
Wisconsin Stats. Section 12.11(1)

12.11  Election bribery.
(1)  In this section, "anything of value" includes any amount of money, or any object which has utility independent of any political message it contains and the value of which exceeds $1. The prohibitions of this section apply to the distribution of material printed at public expense and available for free distribution if such materials are accompanied by a political message.

Anyway, the issue is over. It was resolved by the Republican DA. A little side note of info - Reince Priebus is the former chairman of the Wisconsin Republican party. Get 'er done, boys.

P.O. what about Obama buying beer for the candidates, except the Romney voters. Check it out.

What say ye?

I have the same answer, BT - it's the law - follow it.

What I have against the Republican Party of late - we act like our dogs do not have fleas. And I have seen so much Chicago style thuggery in our own party this go round, I'm totally turned off by it. And totally turned off by the bullying here. You aren't helping me to be on your side. You are pushing me further away. Just sayin'...

I'm am really not trying to get you on "my side!" I just want to feel like you are on "America's Side!" Are your statements causing people not to be on "your side?" I guess my biggest problem with the statements that you are making is I don't understand them! Why are you saying the things that you are saying?

Do you want Obama back in for four more devastating years? Do you not agree that that would be disastrous for our country? I know you do not like the phrase "the lesser of two evils." But, if you placed all of your statements on a balance, would you be helping elect Obama or Romney? One of them is going to be elected and I just really would like for it to be "the lesser of two evils!" And I may not agree with everything about Romney, but you can bet your sweet ......?, oh, let's go with feet, yea, you can bet your "sweet feet" that there are many more reasons that I want Romney instead of Obama, lesser of two evils or not!!!

As a sister, I love you! As a politician.........
