Thank you. I can say that for the most part my integrity has gone out the window some time ago. I am trying to salvage what is left. That isn't much.

Look, dude, i'm probably the most least qualified, but dont go with anythiing that anyone has to give you for advice, its between you and god. I feel that he has let me down in lots of things, but my eternal salvation is secured, and isnt that all that really matters?

I'm not so concerned about my eternal security, I believe it is intact. It is the other stuff I'm concerned about.

Have you tried the "Recite the 23rd Psalm, 5 times a day, contemplatively, for 7 days, no cheating" cure yet? It strikes me as a powerful possibility of relief.

It's responses such as these that further prove my point that you wanted to hear what YOU wanted to hear not the word of God. I wasn't meaning it to cut you down, however, if you come here for something to make you "feel" better rather than something that could very much help your situation even if it sucks to do it then I would hope that this, being an apostolic forum, would be the wrong place.

I think what Berk and ILG are implying here is that you're a relative newcomer with no knowledge of their stories. And, yet, you presume to imply that YOU have a word from God that will help them, even though it may be painful. Precocious and arrogant. I'm sure you have some great things to say, and if you post them, folks that need to hear them will receive them.

But you're too much of an AFF rookie to call anybody out.

I understand that I am new, but I don't understand how that in any way negates the fact that if you are here to learn about God, and you hear something that is biblical and for some reason you decide you don't like it and leave what are you trying to accomplish in the first place and why would you then come to a forum of someone else who is struggling and tell them not to come here for kind words? That implies alot of things about this forum and that seems arrogant to me

As for your choice of words, if you want to say I am implying things that is not true... you used precocious. In the context you used it, that "implies" that because of my age that my words are null. That I shouldn't be taken seriously.

I am not trying to imply anything other than what the bible says. If what I said was untrue, then tell me how so and I will gladly accept it. I will admit my shame and defeat if thats the case I have no problem with it. I am not trying to argue with anyone or put anyone down or make them feel as if they are wronged, but if the word convicts you and you take that as someone on the internet being mean to you something is wrong there. I will say that what I said was in haste, and no I do not know the full back story and there might have been someone giving her unbiblical advice and just being rude and if thats the case then I am sorry. I am sorry for assuming that she was given biblical advice and because it didn't suit her she left. I truly am. However I will stand by my statement that if that was not the case and it was biblical advice and because it made her feel bad she left, then I ask again, "What could possibly be accomplished by that?"

Or should I wait until I build my post count up and have a few birthdays before I try to present a point or edit my posts to a spiritual milk level so that I fit in to some sort of knowledge cap that is given to young adults?

That makes no sense to me, but at the same time I could be taking this all wrong and if so, again, truly I am sorry.

No need to be sorry! You've presented your case in a very logical way, and I take no offense. I apologize if I implied that your age had anything to do with it, I don't feel that way at all.

My point was simply that there are a few of us who have been on this forum for years, and who have witnessed many others go thru struggles, have seen some less than encouraging comments directed their way, and understand a bit more about where they are coming from.

You have some excellent things to say, and when you post them to the entire forum, we all have a choice to make as to whether we accept them, deny them, or count them as not pertinent to our situations.

I think the ruffle was created over the fact that it appeared that you "called ILG out", as it were, and your post implied that she really didn't want to hear the truth.

That's all I was saying. When you learn her story, you'll find that it's absolute truth that she is seeking.

I understand now I would still like to appologize to ILG though anyway or anyone who thought that was what I mean by it because I wasn't being very clear with my words or maybe a little harsh. I have a problem with having too much to say and not alot of writing capabilities to best portray that. I tend to be more of a face to face one on one type of conversator and it gets hard to find a way to word what I have to say in writing :P.

Plus, when I get on the subject of age... I work in a maintenance shop. Everyone here is 45 or up with the exception of me and 2 other guys and we constantly get the shaft for our age, we get the back breaking work and no say in delegation. Makes us feel like a bunch of beaten work horses , so when that gets brought up I'm all " "

So just to state once more I am sorry if I offended anyone and I would like to make clear that is not my intent at all :P.

Yes, obnoxiousness like this is why I left for a while because there are always a few. Fortunately, there are a lot of Christians who can be nice while being Christians.
