Trusted with what? It's not like DV is here trying to sell anyone anything, or even trying to make friends. We discuss issues around here. What is there to trust about someone's position on any particular issue?

Rico, I believe you know what the deal is. As it has been mentioned several times, he has posted that because of his doctorate he has "more" knowledge in these discussions you are talking about.

If it was just his user name it wouldn't be a big deal.

If someone lies about their educational status, can you believe anything they say?

I don't.

He's not only posted his personal opinion about issues, but about people as well. Can we know that his info is accurate, or has he lied about that too?

Credibility goes beyond only speaking facts, but about anything one might say.

Renda, in the grand scheme of all things forum related, it really doesn't amount to a hill of beans if DV got his doctorate or not. His being truthful about it doesn't affect whether someone agrees with the positions he takes on issues. That's all I'm saying. This whole "let's verify so and so's education" thing is turning into AFF's own version of witch hunts. It's nothing more than a distraction and it ends up making everyone involved look bad.

And you have ever right to feel that way as others feel different and they have that right.

Sister, his being truthful or not about his positions on issues is important because???? Is it going to change your position on any particular issue? I could see if DV was trying to sell something or get the forum to donate to some cause or something. That, however, isn't the case. So he lied about his degree. Big deal.

Why is it a witch hunt to ask a simple question?

If I said I pastored a church in the UPCI, and gave you a city and state, and you went to the church directory and didn't find my name, would you just let it go?

I doubt it.

It's incumbent upon all of us, in my opinion, to prove our statements.

If a man will lie about something like that, what makes me think he wouldn't lie about other issues, such as health, etc?

Sister, please, don't shorten her name. For a second, I thought you were talking to a certain other forum owner with the same first name. My first thought was, BAN!
