I have FINALLY decided that I must be moderately conservative.

I reached this conclusion by logical deduction.

No Ultra-conservative has ever offered to show me the secret handshake, or whispered the secret password into my ear. Therefore, I must not be "one of them."

And when the conservatives left AFF en masse, they left me no calling card, no forwarding address, and no sign that I wasn't part of what they objected to. Therefore, I must not be "one of them."

I consider myself conservative, but apparently the "true" conservatives figured I was a moderate, which as we all know is code-speak for lilly-livered pink-panty-waist liberal commie.

I really like this new notion going around of describing oneself as a textualist. But I fear misunderstandings loom on the horizon of future conversations, as newly-minted textualists are asked exactly what sort of textiles they weave. But I'll bet they'll be good thread-starters!
