If I never see another instant visible miracle - I will not cease to believe God for them. I have seen miracles from my childhood and will continue to pray and believe God for the Supernatural. You good folks that can live without it - God bless you - but I am not going to live without the Supernatural Power of God that is able to save, heal, deliver, work instant visible miracles and set the captives free!
OUR GOD IS A MIRACLE WORKING GOD!
The New Testament Church was a MIRACLE WORKING CHURCH of Signs, Wonders, Miracles and Gifts of the Holy Ghost. They had Apostles beyond the 12, Prophets and Evangelists that worked in the Supernatural in the might Name of Jesus Christ. We should see nothing less as New Testament believers!

I will tell you that both my Mom and Dad are used in the Gifts of the Spirit. I have watched my Mom use the gift of knowledge (often as I was growing up, she would tell me what I had been doing at a friends house, and there was no way that she could have known. I know this because it happened within 15 minutes of me going home where she was). Dad has been used in the gift of prophecy no fewer than twice to my knowledge, and was accurate. These are not the total of the gifts in which my parents have been used, but they are what I have seen for myself and choose to talk about.

Both my youngest brother and I have, on occasion, given tongues and interpretation. I know that all of these and more are real from having watched them in use, but I will not say more. Let the evidence speak for itself for I will say no more.

I don't mean to demean your story but this kind of very general "perception" or whatever is not very convincing to me. I believe many of these preachers use the same logic and attention to detail that secular performers do. It is not a hard stretch to look at an emotional woman who is obviously conflicted with emotion and say that she has been "hurt". All of us have been hurt to varying degrees so that "word of knowledge" would probably have applied to 90% of that congregation.

I think there is a lot of pressure on these "word of knowledge" preachers to come through at these special meetings / revivals and sometimes it may be their human observations coming through more than some Divine revelation.

I'm not running down anyone who is skeptical, I've only been in 2 meetings in 2 different states where Bro. Pierce was preaching, I've never been to Ms. So, I want you to know I'm not from anywhere close to him. But I have to say Matt 13:58 says "And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief." Bro. Pierce was very specific at my church. My brother was new to my congregation and had not talked to our pastor about his baby's situation, but I know the baby was life-flighted the month before to Salt Lake City because she could not eat without throwing up. The only thing that she could somewhat keep down was glucose water. So Bro. Pierce said "this baby needs a touch of God, in her stomach, because she is not digesting properly, and needs a touch of God, "she's a fat baby, but she cannot eat properly, God is going to touch her, she can go home and eat anything she want to! We took her home, she ate toast, jelly, cereal, milk, kept every bit of it down, and we praised God, not Bro. Pierce!! I can go on multiple times about each and everything that was specific, and has come to pass. I agree one cannot put their faith in men. But, God spoke to our congregation, he told our congregation "he can let us down, but God never would! I can attest, God never has!!" I see many people here commenting on a ministry they have not partaken of, and those who have seen him were in doubt that God opperates this way for us today. I must agree that the church does not need a regular diet of this, again we have seen him once in our church in 21 years, but it doesn't lessen the experience of what God did in those 2 services for us.

People will always try to make excuses for the unexplained. Many will not accept the testimonies they hear.

And what you described is what I am wanting to get to in my walk with God. I know men and women like this are crucified by their brethren, and I don't care, but it's needed for what God wants to do.

As far as CP I've only seen hits, not misses. He prophesied one man's heart attack and that God would revive him. He didn't call it a heart attack, but it was massive and should have left him with a veggie brain and blind. God healed both. There are other things, but I do feel CP is has been used mightily. I heard of a woman in LA who was healed of cancer. It was so bad the entire church stunk from the cancer, which was in all of her body (if I am not mistaken). She couldn't walk, and had to be wheeled in. Bro. Pierce laid hands on her and the cancer disappeared and the stink did as well. This last thing happened in the ALJC church in Monroe, LA.

Last night Cody marks actually said he was working in the role of a prophet - I have no problem with that. We need room for those guys - Apostles and Prophets are a Pastor's best friend.

As to Bro. Marks, I was in a service where he called out a man was thinking of cheating on his wife, how much tip he was giving and what he was eating everyday at the restaurant. When he said it the atmosphere in the room shifted, there was a definite fear of the Lord in that place. Only been around a few people like that. Need more like that.

It's not just about that, though. Been used in a similar way, in a less pinpointed measure. When Jesus came he healed the lunatick (mentally ill), the oppressed (demon possessed, acting mentally ill), the lame, the blind, the deaf - he didn't just forgive sins, he set bodies back in order. Several times in the Gospels 'he healed them all'. Miracles and healings don't validate what's being preached, or the one whom God works through, but they bring glory to God and tear down the devil's kingdom one person at a time. We must have that!
