By the way, can any "this is not an organization" WPF'rs explain this clause in the WPF articles of faith? "c) The Executive Chairman of Worldwide Pentecostal Fellowship may not be a member of any other religious organization except WPF."
What does this mean? I understand that all of us non-WPFers are too slow witted to understand that what is so clear to the rest of you, how an organization complete with all the apparatus of the UPCI, AofG, SBC, or any other organization is not an organization.
But this little article, for one, has me stumped.

Legally, if your local church is incorporated with the state that it is in, it has the full capacity to grant credentials (though it is best to put that into your bylaws). Legally, incorporation always trumps affiliation. The same is true regarding 501c3 status - it is the state that makes a local assembly legal and non-profit. The local church is the recognized religious organization - how do you think the GIB's have survived without a "mother-church"??
Please look into it yourself and let us know - I would appreciate it.
Thanks!

Well Not being a member but having seen it coming for a LONG LONG time let me hazard this guess. Since all members of the wwpf are not UPC or Former UPCERS maybe they have built in a safety valve to prevent the WWPF from ever falling under the sway of the upc or at least to set the minds of many apostolics who have had such negative experiences with the UPC that they actually fear it at ease.
Just a guess. I wish I could articulate it better.

Thanks for the guess. It's probably correct. My problem though is simple. How can the WPF be on one hand an all inclusive fellowship regardless of ministerial affiliation on one hand, and yet barr the top leadership to anyone who does not pledge sole allegiance to the WPF. Does this not sound a little like double speak to anyone?

Perhaps it is so that their affiliation cannot cause thme to leave. For example: what if one of the orgs decided that their members would have to totally pledge their full support to the exclusion of other groups? Would that not then preclude them from being a part of another fellowship? So, maybe it is an attempt to maintain leadership regardless of what the rank and file members have to do.

Thanks for trying, but I still don't get it. Other organizations currently do not allow for dual membership in separate organizations. The whole point is the WPF is theoretically not an organization, yet it requires that its leader have no ties with any other. This sounds like a portent of things to come.
The old saying goes, "If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it's a duck." Even if the duck calls itself a swan.

Bro, you may well be right. Honestly, I have not been to any of the meetings. I have read the literature that I have received. That is truly the extent of my knowledge.

There are a lot of churches letting down on the Holiness standard.I still believe if a person has an honest heart and a consistent prayer life, they will keep their integrity with God.
