The sooner ones realizes there is nothing but repetitive rhetoric and plagarism on the Apostolic Pretender the sooner one can enjoy the humor.

Of course, "you" saying "I did me some talking to my sup..." puts the whole thing in a different light. It's not GR talking to KH (satirically) but you to GR- that's a world of difference.

And I'm afraid I didn't find "Tulsa Time" funny. I didn't even make my way throught it all before I clicked on something else and kept moving. Not criticizing, but it wasn't my style.

And no, I was not attacking, I was defending. Your clarification clears that up and so I am no longer defensive about it. Thanks.

You can find information on the internet and tv. You can find entertainment on the internet and tv. Most people no matter which they use, use it for entertainment. This website and you posting here is an example of that.

As for how they "got permission," it's simply not the truth. Someone who is connected with those folks heard it and asked if I cared if he shared it. I did not know at the time that he was connected with Reckhart. I thought he just wanted to email it to a few friends. I agreed that he could "share it." I had no idea that it would be posted on THAT website and, upon learning that it WAS there, I immediately asked that it be removed. I do not like the website and certainly don't want to be associated with it. I have explained in two separate emails to them that HATEFULNESS is NOT holiness and KINDNESS is NOT compromise.

Again, the song was intended to be a parody, sung as though the General Secretary were trying to "play down" the numbers. I've been writing and singing parodies for many years. It was all done in fun. (I'm working on one now to the tune of Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the USA" -- it's called "God Bless the UPC.")

I hope this helps you understand more clearly who I am and where I'm coming from.

I think I made this pretty clear in my post. I really don't see any problem with the above, except the point of Res 4.
I think it did nothing for unity but everything to push those out and cause problems for those who choose to stay.
I think it was a move for only a small group of men who had the most to gain by the resolution being passed, and that the smaller churches are not going to benefit at all buy the res passing. It was not a vote towards unity but towards commercialization of an organization.

I have Brothers and Sisters in the UPCI and they and I are together, and the United Pentecostal Church International effects every Apostolic Pentecostal who breaths a breath, whether they like it or not. The UPCI even know they effect the rest of us, read the back of the manual, they even call themselves "Big Brother" so excuse me if I tend to be passionate about what the big brother is doing in front of God and everybody.

Television is continuing to morph, though. The big step was with cable and satellite offering more channels than the programmers have been able to fill. What they need is audience demand for a particular type of programming and then that demand will be filled. If good people just sit on their hands and don't get involved, then programmers will resort to trying to find the least common denominator - and that's what produces trash.

Getting a tv set and flopping down in front of it isn't progress. Getting involved with the programming and content and making yourself heard is progress.

It's like politics. Apostolics didn't get involved in politics in the old days. There was just too much evil and the best you could hope for was to endure the tribulation. But once folks began to get over their initial hesitation, soon there were some good things that began to happen.
