If this topical focus is the actual text of an ammendment being submitted for a vote at GC, what proof or evidence are you needing?
Proof or transcripts of what goes on in district board meetings.

I'm poking and prodding to see if most ex-UPC preachers were done in by "dirty district boards" like most convicts in prison are victims of "dirty cops and lawyers."

In the nicest way possible, of course.

Personally speaking, I would not know about that.

I have never asked for, received or participated in a fellowship based on solely fellowship credentials. My fellowship is in the Spirit of the Son of God who loved and gave Himself a ransom for ME...though a worm unworthy to lift my head upon HIS holiness.

I would NEVER accept such a spiritually contemptible fellowship based on anything else.

But then, that's just little ol' insignificant, retarded and blind me.

Looking at the thread title again ...

When a Pastor leaves the church he was pastoring, for whatever reason, does he get to take HIS pulpit w/ HIM.

The story I related toward the beginning of this thread is true. I really was asked to cancel two different meetings. I understood the reasoning, and complied so that there would be no animosity. But looking back I can't help but disagree with the mindset that dared even ask me to withdraw from those meetings.

My DS was only reacting in the hopes of maintaining "unity". Thus "unity" is normally held in place by Pentecostal duct tape and staples. It is a false unity. The general attitude is "comply with my wishes or you threaten unity".
pp i am sure you would have loved my grandfather, he founded 36 churches and pastored the same church for over 55 years before he passed away, i cant name him cause you might have known him, anyway you are so right, that attitude you mentioned is the same attitude that thwarts regular people in churches who are genuinely concerned and want what is right, but they are told that if they speak up they are rebellious, what a crock, good points, dt

The "Your" was a generic term meant to speak of everyone who is faithful to a local assembly. I do think pastor's need to exercise biblical judgement concerning what doctrines are disseminated from the puplit, podium, lecturn or whatever you want to call it. Some of the harshest words Jesus ever uttered were addressed to the pastors of the seven churches in Asia Minor because they tolerated false doctrine.

Contrarily, I see no biblical authority given to the current model of organizational leadership represented here.

You are too kind.

It was TIC of course, but I know how the denominational world regards a brother that does not have their approval and credentials.

Pride goes before WHAT? and a haughty look before WHAT?

Proof?

I got a letter from them, and from Gen. Sec. JJ, telling me what they did...

There were no charges against me...

There were no phone calls to me...

They just decided in that meeting that since I voluntarily mailed my card in they would put me "under question".

BTW, I have no ax to grind nor do I have hurt feelings...I was simply trying to say that the "under question" rule has been around for a long time.

"under Question!"

What a stupid statement.

Anything to taint the reputation of a brother. How WICKED!

It is the venom of the cocatrice. They who use it only spawn cocatrice eggs for the following generation that will be more than happy to incubate them.
