CS - you're a better man than I. And you handled the situation much better than I could imagine handling it.
Not that I would have caused a big "Jerry Springer Show-esque" scene during the service...I'd have been waiting out near the Pastor's office for a meeting after the service, and probably would have said things I'd regret later.
Hopefully I won't have to deal with anything like that. Of course, I tend to stick to moderate churches and not real conservative ones. *grin*

Is there any place that God command the Israelites to go tear down someone else's idol? I do kow He commanded them to get rid of there own.
I need to go research this.

Yeah!!!! Your wife could have lunged for the man behind the pulpit, tackling him and pounding him.
Would they put that in the Herald?

As men, I can see where you would want to do the opposite of what CS did, however, it was the right thing to do.
Like CS said, in due time God will deal with that man.

I've been saying that for some time now... I'm glad I'm not alone.

But we will gladly allow for a "transcription error" in the KJV in our proof of the oneness. David K. Bernard does.

I know a few men who would probably have reacted in a very public and physical way. If not right then during the message, then for sure after the message.

"Honey!!! Did you hear what he said to me? Honey, hit that man!""
"Shut up and get in the car!"
