She had to call others to see if THEY remembered because SHE did not.

He admitted that he drank heavily at times. Is he supposed to go into gory detail? Probably 90% of those in Congress did the same.

You are right. They want to go the angle of Perjury, because they have nothing left.
I agree with a comment I read on trying to use his college yearbook terms to get him on perjury charges - "Since slang by its nature is informal and ever-changing, this stupid dispute is never going to be settled to anyone’s satisfaction."

Re: Kavanaugh-- In Case You're Keeping Score
Seems like I see a pattern here.
Let's accuse someone of something then shift it to something else when the original accusation does not work out.
Russian Collusion by Trump!!!
Wait, that doesn't work, let's try something else.
Kavanaugh committed sexual assault!!!
Well, maybe not since there are no witnesses.
But, he lied about his drinking habits in high school and college!!!

The Democrats didn't bank on the idea that Kavanaugh would dig in his heels. They are used to the right bowing out and quickly. They thought it would be easier.
It occurred to me that they are alarmed they are not getting Pajama Boy. The Left wants all of our men to be Pajama Boy. Kavanaugh will turn out to be a fighter on the Supreme Court. His not backing down just proved that.

The Kavanaugh Allegations Are Psychological Terrorism, And It’s Time They End
Vilification is a form of psychological terrorism. Because the fury displayed by those leveling the charges is so relentless and uncompromising, it carries its own threat.
The left’s smear tactics have come on full display during the surfeit of attacks on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. Whether you support or oppose this SCOTUS nomination, the tactics being used are more extreme even than during the Clarence Thomas hearings.

Re: Kavanaugh-- In Case You're Keeping Score
I don't oppose Kavanaugh by any means.
I was disappointed by some of his petulant and childish answers though.
I almost wish Trump had nominated a female instead.

I agree with Jonah Goldberg, "But this idea that he can’t be a Supreme Court justice because he wasn’t dispassionate in the face of multiple bogus allegations that he’s a rapist is both grotesque and grotesquely dumb."

Re: Kavanaugh-- In Case You're Keeping Score
Just thought he should have handled some of the questions differently
Quote:
“Was there ever a time when you drank so much that you couldn’t remember what happened, or part of what happened, the night before?” she asked.
“No, I remember what happened and I think you’ve probably had beer, Senator,” Kavanaugh said, as Klobuchar spoke over him.
Klobuchar: “So you’re saying there’s never been a case where you drank so much that you didn’t remember what happened the night before or part of what happened?”
Kavanaugh: “It’s — you’re asking about, you know, blackout. I don’t know. Have you?”
Klobuchar: “Could you answer the question, Judge? . . . So . . . that’s not happened? Is that your answer?”
Kavanaugh: “Yeah, and I’m curious if you have.”
Clearly uncomfortable, Klobuchar released a short laugh before responding, “I have no drinking problem, Judge.”
“Yeah, nor do I,” Kavanaugh said with a smile.
