Jesus had the Holy Ghost per Luke 4:1.

Uhm, Sean, you might want to look up those 'shalls' in your Strong's or your BDB.

"Shall" in this case means with certainty it shall be.

Here is that verse in the Brenton Septuigent.

Isaiah 9:6....For a child is born to us, and a son is given to us, whose government is upon his shoulder: and his name is called the Messenger of great counsel: for I will bring peace upon the princes, and health to him.

This, like in the KJV, says from the beginning the "government" is upon Him. And, from the beginning, His "name" is "called..."

Remember, Jesus was the physical descendant born to sit on David's throne, and He was to be called "Emmanuel," which is "God with us." All present realities from the birth of the "child/son."

So you did not see the division of the tenses as per mortal life vs immortality?

I have dealt with enough people who take the scripture out of context to know that you have some overall point to this.
As a matter of fact someone with a similar doctrine that you are espousing just convinced a new convert to leave his apostolic church family, because they were wrong.
Of course, he has now convinced him to leave his wife and two young children as well, because they are staying.

This is about your/their walk with God.

I pray to the same Jesus you pray to.

The ONLY difference is, I think he became deity after he resurrected, not at birth.(33 years).

Jesus is OUR God, through and through.

I just try to explain it a bit differently, and give Jesus his individuality and true humanity back.

I can ever so slightly have a different approach when teaching this and be excepted by my UPC peers.

I just see Jesus as God by the infilling of the full Godhead in his Glorified body.

He is ALL GOD!

God manifested Himself as the Father.

God manifested Himself INSIDE the son(2 Cor. 5:19).

God manifested Himself inside Jesus, inside us, as the Holy Ghost(John 14:23).

It's a spirit. It whispers to people "Don't exalt Jesus TOO much..." It's behind the Watchtower, the Vatican, Islam, Judaism, trinitarianism, binitarianism, Christadelphianism, all the isms that can't stomach the idea that Jesus is THE ONE AND ONLY GREAT I AM.
