Re: DNC National Convention
What was it like before socialized medicine?
And why didn't God ordain mandatory medical insurance if it's such a good idea?
And whatever happened to Jehovah Rapha anyway?

1.) End unjustified wars and occupation.
2.) Health care established as a human right.
3.) Social justice for the poor and vulnerable.
4.) Curtail corporate power in politics & regulate Wall Street.
5.) Address climate change by investing in clean energy.
6.) Support environmental protection & wildlife conservation.
7.) Stop voter suppression.
8.) Create jobs by rebuilding America's failing civil infrastructure.
9.) Strengthen American labor & raise wages.
10.) Affirm both civil & human rights.
11.) End mass criminalization & the privatized prison system.
12.) Increase public funding for college education. Only the Democrats are willing to step up to the plate to even try to address these things. That's why I'm a Democrat.

Y'all have been running the show for eight years. The economy has grown from 1945-2008 on average 3.5%. Under Obama? Economic growth has averaged 1.4%. Terror, ISIS, lawlessness, are on the rise. We have distanced ourselves from allies like Israel and we have embraced Cuba and cut a deal with Iran. Illegal immigration is out of control. 45 million people are on food stamps. 98 million people are not working. We are more divided as a country as I have ever seen in my lifetime. Democrats over-promise and under-deliver. They live in fantasy land.

The funniest thing ever is Reince and the RNC putting out a statement that Doug Elmets, former Reagan supporter endorsing Hillary, is not a TRUE Republican because he donated $2,200 to the Democrat party over the last six years. What does that make Donald Trump who donated $100,000 to Democrats. Don't forget that includes his 2010 donations that helped fund the Democrats against the Republican in Congress.
And now Reince and the RNC are asking for donations from people that they disenfranchised at Convention. LOL!
The only reason the Democrats came out to vote for Trump is that they still get what they wanted if he wins.

Establishment RINOS endorsing Hillary? That's not shocking. Trump doesn't need them anyway. Trump's popularity is because the man on the street voter is supporting him, not some Washington insider.
Trump tweeted that the Koch brothers wanted to meet with him. He turned them down. He doesn't need donor money, people wanting favors, lobbyist money, good ole boy cash. I won't be surprised if someone tries to take him out before the election if he's ahead in the polls or if it's close.

I mean, ever notice how the corporate providers of educational materials have nearly completely removed any reference to the oppression of the American worker, the labor movement, sweatshops, and child labor? After all... if children aren't taught about these things... they'll never know how the corporate world is slowly bringing back the "servile wage slave".

The corporate boogeyman only provides about 1/3 of the jobs in America. Small business and start-ups create 70% of all new jobs. This isn't the era of Vanderbilt, Carnegie, Rockefeller, and the robber barons. Big Business arguments are just Democrat propaganda.

So if you tax all the people, take out the cost of any overhead, an d what is left is all you have to pay the providers. If that ends up meaning you can only pay a doctor $40,000 a year...then "woohoo" that Doctor should celebrate right?
Yes, you want men and women to go to college for an additional 8-12 years to earn a degree that costs them hundreds of thousands of dollars so that they can make...less than a good used car salesman? Oh yeah...that will work out great.
Oh and of course, you also have the fact that letting the Gov regulate will further kill patient care and relationship with the doctor. They will indeed, as they already do in most cases, mandate that these doctors shuffle patients through their office as fast as a Taco Bell worker can toss that taco down the line. No time to talk. No time to really discuss things. Just in and out. Gotta keep moving so we can "treat" the next patient. You know, because if they meet the quota, then the Gov overseeing the healthcare may pay you even less Doctor.
I don't understand how anyone can look at Government involvement in anything and think, "Gee these people do such great work. Let's just let them control even more of our lives".

A day at the DMV should let everyone know how effective government-run anything is.

Not a fan of Politico, but they're saying it's the exact opposite. That the Don wanted to meet with them, but the Koch brothers refused.

Is it really worse than calling the customer service number in the back of your credit card?

Yes it's worse. Because if I don't like the customer service I can get a different credit card. But government run anything is a monopoly and there are no other alternatives. Capitalism 101. Competition creates more effective and more efficient services.

Re: DNC National Convention
that argument seems spurious, as the capitalism you know would not even exist w/o the government's collusion in damping competition. anyone have a CC with notable customer service? are they all not equally bad? you seem to be arguing for the illusion of choice here. not that i agree with the notion of having credit cards, or getting licenses for that matter. you do not need a license to drive.
