Re: The Myth of the Tiny Radical Muslim Minority

Some people just don't like us, and just can't or won't be honest enough to just say it like it is. I always find it funny, Shazeep claims we are essentially lost in darkness because we say someone is lost in darkness. By his own reasoning he himself is lost in darkness.

lol

I really think a fast growing majority of the general population are becoming Eloi right before our very eyes.

He likes John and Jesus on some things they say, but not others. But wait I forgot. Those verses are OUR religion. We read it wrongly. John said one is antichrist if they denyJesus is son of God and we read thst incorrectly.

Re: The Myth of the Tiny Radical Muslim Minority

the point is that we all read what we want to read, for the most part.

He that denies the Father and Son has no eternal life. Yep. That's hard to understand and we read what we want to into it.

well that might seem heavy, but it is how one gets to forgiveness. I am a sinner. I need forgiveness. If i convince myself that because i talk about Christ like some sect of people, and hold their standards, that i have no sin, then i need more forgiveness than others. Than children.

Totally devoid of the truth of the blood that remits sin. And the words calling yourself a sinner reveal that, and betray the salvation by works concept. Those who trusted, not stated, they're in Christ's death are also in his resurrection and ascension. Even his enthronement. Not sinners but saints. They have his righteousness. But it's only do many of us who were put into his death.

No wonder you said we must be sinning everyday. You got yourself a works based, bloodless and non-grace salvation.
After all, if the word says denial of the Son mean's no eternal life, and someone says God never had and never will have a Son, you think there's no relevant issue and all is dandy.

But you can't tell someone they're deceived because they wouldn't be deceived if they could accept that.

Re: The Myth of the Tiny Radical Muslim Minority

It is only devoid of truth from your pov. Understand "you eat and wipe your mouth, and say you have done nothing wrong." Calling on Jesus is easy; changing your heart for Christ is hard.

I understand why you say this, and why it might feel like abandoning your faith to reflect upon how love comes before the cross. It was scary to do this; which should possibly be a clue, as after all we are talking about seeking a deeper understanding of Christ, not denying Him.

But really it amounts to forgetting something we were taught, not something that is hard to understand; hence why one must become like a child. I am first called to love my enemies; but i am not perfect, and will fail at this sometimes. I have faith in Christ's sacrifice to cover me for those times.

And while it might be tempting for me to write "same to you but more of it" or whatever--@ "denying Father and Son"--that would be a sin to me, not encouragement, cutting you off or down in a sense, you who are also seeking Christ as best you know how. So i am called to overlook your characterization of my faith, which i might be tempted to call "sin," but is after all just truth as you see it. For instance.

Re: The Myth of the Tiny Radical Muslim Minority

Similarly, if you seek where you might differ with a Muslim, you will surely find some area. Same goes with your best friend, or mate. If you talk to anyone long enough, you will find some area to disagree on if you look for it. Muslims were put on this earth to contend with you; but it takes two to tango. If you are inclined or convinced to contend, then you will find a willing adversary.
