Re: Romance Songs to the Lord

Did anyone ever show us those sexual innuendoes they claim are in these songs?

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Music is something that speaks differently to the hearts of each individual, and so if this kind of music just really makes you want to worship the Lord, then, by all means, worship the Lord to this.

Myself, I would far rather worship the Lord to songs that glorify, and lift up the Majesty and Holiness of God, such as "Worship His Majesty".

Here is another song that blesses me when I hear it:

Listening to a new album by Eddie James - "Shift: Awakening," and there's a song which made me think of this thread.

"Nazarite Vow"
I wanna be an extravagant lover
An offering, a sacrifice for thee
I find in you my passion and pleasure
'Til I am consumed with the spirit of burning

A laid down lover
That's what I wanna be, that's what I wanna be
A lovesick warrior
You're all I wanna see, so I give my all to thee

Deep inside, there's a Nazarite cry
You've captured my gaze
With the fire in your eyes

Here's a cell phone video of James singing this song.

Re: Romance Songs to the Lord

I just have a problem singing to the Lord Jesus songs that are filled with s**ual innuendos. But if you enjoy it, and it blesses you, then praise the Lord anyhow.
