This reminds me of a passage...

Luke 9:53-55
King James Version (KJV)
53 And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem.
54 And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?
55 But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.

Exacly. But some people on this thread think its christian like to call them Fags and Queers. We are supposed to attract people to Christ. Not repel. Instead of always getting on your soapbox and preaching against something, why dont we start letting everyone know what we stand for.

Here's what is happening right now.

Note that from what we can see the Preachers did NOT attempt to hit the gays.

John 19:11, Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.

Luke 12:46, The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.[47] And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.[48] But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

1 John 5:16, If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.[17] All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.

Matt. 11:24, But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee.

Mark 6:11, And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

(Here are a few scriptures to ponder).

This is only the begging of the attacks on Christianity, eventually more attacks will follow.

This is what happened already Christians killed for preaching righteousness, get ready to flee or die folks, that is what Christians often had to do, at least you get to travel from city to city, meet new people and spread the faith, just like in the book of Acts.

I can't stand those self-righteous placards. The Christians are causing trouble for us all. They would be much more effectual if they stayed home or met at the church to pray.

Re: Jail/Homosexuality

When preachers start going to jail, many inmates will respect them for standing up against homosexuality. A large population of the incarcerated have a disdain for perverts. Let the heathen rage. Revival will be the end result.

I realize this sounds a bit over the top. But the Lord will have His way in the whirlwind.

IMO. Most homosexuals are reprobates. God has turned them over.

I pray that all come to repentance.

If there were more Christians with placards there would more Christians in the land. I fully support their work and the trouble they are causing for all of us.

Christianity has always caused trouble, it is time for Christianity to stir up trouble and have riots like in the time of Paul, when not only some people rioted, but whole cities rioted and wanted to kill Paul.

Let us turn the world upside down.
Let us make the whole world notice us, and want to kill us.

I can almost hear the cry of Christians to the Lions, we need more persecution, we need for some of us Christians put our lives on the line.

Do you want me to actually believe that the Disciples "turned the world upside down" by picketing? You can't be serious.

You do realize that Paul had such an anointing, the people were touching him with their handkerchiefs or aprons, taking them home and laying them on the sick?

Acts 19:11-12 "And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them."

How powerless do we want to make the Gospel by works of the flesh? We are making it a mockery.
