The school I am going to is fully funded and the help that I get will be at no cost to me. The will also fly me to and from the school if I need them to. It is a 28 day training course during which I will have to live in a dorm like situation. This does not thrill me but it is not the worst thing in the world I guess.
How is your vision now? Have you lost a lot?
Thankfully, and with a lot of prayer from thousands of people, I didn't lose any vision at all, and in 2004, I had brain surgery to correct the increased pressure.
But I remember the fears that I felt and how scared I was.
I know you can't see really well and I hope and pray it doesn't get worse for you. Let us know when you get your dog though. I'm excited for you.

Small town of 10,000 and very few "bright lights" like where we used to live.
I can give you a grand tour in 15 mins and have stopped for coffee on the way!
The adjustment curve was painful, but I have grown accustomed to like somethings here. The anticipation of seeing a church grow from the ground up is fun too.
BOOM, did anyone tell you that there are several small towns between the East Coast and the West Coast you could have chosen? LOL!

He didn't tell you that another very crucial reason we moved here was our daughter lives here!
The scariest thing I have had to do so far is, during my mobility training, which is they are training me to be able to get around town even though I cannot see the traffic lights Anyway they had me go around with my eyes shut so that I could not see anything. He was supposed to blindfold me but he forgot the blindfold. I was so scared I that I was going to fall. I must have looked really silly. But when I go to Guide Dog School they will take me around San Fransisco with my eyes blind folded. Not looking forward to that.
