Re: Let's talk about Baptism.

When people around here talk about the Father (and capitalize it ), is there any doubt who they are talking about?

Re: Let's talk about Baptism.

A physician in our city was reported to have received the Holy Spirit, speaking with
tongues. But when it came to baptism, he was telling new converts that asked about baptism, even in Jesus Name, that it didn't matter, that it was all the same.
But they continued to baptize all converts in the titles. They didn't really believe
it was the same or they would have baptized some in Jesus Name. I know some that asked, but were told that it was the same thing. They came to my late father
and were baptized in Jesus Name by someone who believed and taught that it did
make a difference. Like I said, just take that check to the bank and see if A NAME
makes a difference. Your signature (Name) is your identity! There are many fathers, sons, husbands but the name should identify which father, son, husband, etc!!

I've asked a similar question to someone else earlier, but never got a response.

In the check analogy, who signs the check?

The one who has the checking account usually. We have a very
elderly lady in the church we attend. Her daughter signs her checks
now as her eyesight is not good. Her mother approved!

I would love to see everyone make it to heaven...but as I read the word, strait is the gate and narrow is the way.....its my burden for those who don't know and are being told different that makes me passionate...not a drive to be right about it...but a dread of what will happen to those around me if I am right...and make no mention of it.

Acts 4
10Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
11This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner
12Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

I'll go ahead and give another of my opinions. Apostolics are so hard on Jesus name baptism for the sole reason that because if Jesus name is how baptism must administered then this affirms the oneness message.

Then why are Trinitarians so hard on being baptized in the titles! Someone is
WRONG!!!
