Jesus is the truth ... but Praxeas wants more .... he wants to know whether or not it's important to hold the letter of the law ...

BTW Im not here to argue mode of baptism. Im here to discuss the topic of truth and what it means for us based on hypothetical situations. I never assumed one has to have a name verbally invoked in order to be saved...rather I am discussing if that is true and yet it is not necessary to be baptized to be saved, must we, for the sake of loving the truth, obey it anyways.

I never said I wanted anything. I want to discuss an issue that is about truth. What is wrong with you people?

Don't you love God and in turn love His truth and want to know Him more and His truth?

The letter of who's law. It man made then forget it. We spend way to much time legislating the foolish. Worry more about the new birth experience.

Then take care of those in need...

My take.

Tradition ...
While Ananias ... would have many reasons NOT TO CALL PAUL brother ... unless he considered HIM ONE ....

Jesus said ... if you love me OBEY MY COMMANDMENTS ... Praxeas .... it's not done because obligation ...but because of love ....

But how about HIS law? Do we treat it tritely? Or do we seek to obey it and if we don't obey it or don't care about the truth are we saved or can we be saved?

It sounds to me like some do not want to have any absolutes as far as scripture goes. They just want to "do what is right in their own eyes".

The bible is plain that "IF we love him we WILL keep his commandments".

The greatest of these is to love your neighbor.

It is not the commandments 11-100 penciled in by someone looking to appear more holy as time goes along.

See my first post in this thread ... last question .... if we know how to do good and don't do it ... it's what??????

God holds us accountable for what we know.
