For the record, I would like to agree with Ferd. I believe that a seasoned governor is far more qualified for the office of President than a Senator. However, Palin, in my opinion, doesn't qualify as a "seasoned governor". We don't even know if she could win the next gubernatorial election in Alaska.
PO, I'm not trying to make an argument for Kaine as VP. That was not my point. My point was the nature of partisanship as evidenced by this clip. It is silly and counter-productive in my opinion. I'm sure that Kaine does have an opinion and stance on all those issues above and has had to deal with them in his career, but that's another conversation.
I've got to run in a few minutes, so I'll talk to you later. I would have hoped that what I was trying to say was a little clearer, but I guess it is all relative.
I agree that it was partisan on Rove's part. He's still right about Kaine being able, but not producing any important legislation.

That may be true Antipas, but haven't you heard? She lives next door to Russia. I mean that's foreign policy experience at it's finest.

well here we are.... but Palin isnt running for president and Obama is. And Obama's has no more pertanant experience that Palin.
to me this is a wash. They both have about 2 years on the job. But Obama isnt the VP candidate, he heads his ticket.
That being said, I want to be clear about this. I am not suggesting that Obama is UNQUALIFIED. I am simply pointing out that to say Palin is unqualified as a reason to vote for Obama is hypocracy. This is my only point here

If something happens to McCain, his choosing Palin does jeopardize the nation because she's not ready bro. No Presidential candidate has "wiggle room" to put the nation in danger. That's why I see McCain as unwise and unfit to lead. Obama's pick, even if he didn't have the "wiggle room" is far better for America should something happen to the chief executive.
And you think Obama is ready to lead?

More fun facts
7 men known primarily as a senator have attempted to be president 8 times and failed. (Henry Clay failed twice).
Only 2 mena primarily known as senator have won the job. John Kennedy and Warren Harding. Harding was ONLY a senator. John Kennedy was a war hero and a 3 term member of the House before becoming a senator.
There were other men who were senators that both won and lost, but in each of those cases, they also served as prominant Generals, Sec. of State, Vice President, or Speaker of the house of Representatives.
Senators have not faired well....but a senator will be elected this time around.
