Re: SHOCKER! Obama Joining Oneness Apostolic churc
I typically stay out of political discussions but let me repeat a comment from a Fox news commentator a couple of days ago concerning some Town Hall meetings between McCain and Obama, which thus far Obama has been difficult about:
(And I paraphrase) "It is interesting that Obama has more conditions to meet with John McCain than he does the Prime Minister of Iran."

I really want to say something here, and I am not arguing a side or a point with this post. I promise you that we all have the same goal in mind. We all want the message of Jesus Christ to reach as many people as possible. We want less sin and more God. We all want zero abortions - I promise you that.
I think we just differ in how we think that will most likely get accomplished. If I thought having a Republican in the White House would help make that happen, I would vote for one no matter what. But, I don't think that is the case, and if anything, I think having someone who poorly represents us is worse than having someone who doesn't even fly the evangelical flag at all.
Change will come through God's impact in individual lives - not through national policy. I want someone that I think is a good leader. It is a decision that I want to make based on the person, not on their get-me-elected platforms. I'm not saying that person is Obama - I know all the candidates have their flaws, as we all do, but I don't think McCain should be the default choice just because of the party he is affiliated with.
While I think a theocracy might create a more comfortable place for us Christians to live, it does not necessarily further the work of God, in my opinion.

Obama is no more Apostolic than he is the President of the United States.

There are other choices besides McCain and Obama.

I would never vote for a Democrat because of all of their unrighteous ideas.
