It seems that usually people get in love and gain weight!! Lol!! My sister doesn't have any health problems but she has a HARD time loosing weight. She has to practically starve herself and exercise daily. I have not had a real real hard time in the past - it is never easy! But as I get older I gain it easier so we shall see here in a few months just how hard it is for me to loose it. My doctor is going to make me see a Nutritionist on a regular basis though, he wants me to stay on a strict diet for the rest of my life so that I can try and prevent the diabetes from returning as I get older. We'll see how easy it will be.

Hey, that would help!!!

I work with a lady who pretty much hates men, she is very bitter from a bad marriage and I don't think she is a lesbein but she sure isn't into men!! Lol!! But she dresses and looks so manly. She says "frills & pinks" just aren't her. Some have even mistaken her for a man from behind!!! And to top it all off she acts like I am so beneath her because I have long hair and dress girlie!!!! But, I don't let it bother me - to be honest I think she just has a problem with my religion. But, oh well!!

It just makes me SO uncomfortable.
Not all lesbians are what they refer to as "bull dykes," some of them are more feminine (the phenomenon of the "lipstick lesbian").

You are right! I was watching Oprah one night and she had a couple (female and male) that had been married for seven years and the female left the husband because she was gay. She was a beautiful girl and you would have NEVER known she was gay. She was very feminine looking. The guy she was married to was handsome and she left him for a "not so attractive" female that looked like most gay women.

When I am in love I am all together smitten and only think about and want to be with my man...I have no time for eating...just time for kissing. Love is a great weight control for me.

I think the Southbeach diet is great for daily living...and you can eat all you want...try that one...I'll do it with you! Gestational diabetes does not always lead to diabetes down the road...I rebuke that thought!

Blessings, Rhoni

That is my favorite diet!!! I did that one after my first pregnancy and I did really well on it.

Thank you! I am rebuking that thought also!! They just think I am high risk becayse my great grandpa had diabetes and since I developed gestational diabetes. But it won't hurt to try my best to stay healthy.

Explain to me the Southbeach Diet, will you please? It must be the ONLY diet I have not tried yet. So can you give me a capsulized version of how to do it?

Southbeach is also called "Modified Adkins" because the carb count is the most important but it lets you have more fruits and vegetables. It is a little slower, although not much and you can actually continue it for a lifestyle change.
