unfortunately it is the mindset of too many people in upc... and I love the org... been in it all my life... but it is time for everyone to quit trying to be their "brother's keeper". Being a "Brother's keeper is not a good thing... we should just be a brother/sister... forget the keeper mentality stuff...and leave that up to God.

They did indeed wear pants. There are details that do change over time.Women in general do not wear behive hairdos stacked up and laquered with hairspray
When did the British men start wearing knickers, and who told them they could change their attire from the robes they once wore 2000 years ago???
No one is advocating middle eastern cultre to come and take over the west.we are talking about distinctives in Western culture
Roman men wore skirts in the Bible. Why are they wearing pants today? I mean, to follow your argument, Roman men were wearing skirts going back to the formation of Rome, so when did men start wearing pants and not skirts? Who said that was ok for them to do?
First, Rome was a heathen culture. who is comparing what nero wore to what should be worn today? let's talk about what's going on now. not all roman men wore skirts just some of the warriors. others wore a robe with a stole
Just because women wear something that men also happen to be wearing doesn't mean that men can wear women's clothing exclusively for women. Pants aren't exclusively for men in this country in 2008.

And since women first started wearing a pant-like garment in the 4th century, who told men that it was ok in 1600 to start wearing them???

I'm sorry Mark...maybe I really DID misunderstand you...would you care to explain THIS comment...seeing as how it's NOT all the woman's fault or anything like that?

You are suggesting the same thing, basically.
You are suggesting that we live in 1776, not 2008.
