My wife is a 10, a reverse 10 that is, with no shame, no guilt, no conviction concerning any of your man made standards. BTW, she is the most Godly women I know, volunteers full time to serve special needs, loves righteousness, hates evil, and most of all loves me. So, your test is no holiness test at all, has nothing to do with how close one is to the Lord.

I do not think any of the above are necessary. The ones I checked are merely my personal preferences. (I'm not a girly girl, but I am still feminine. )

When I traveled with Wayne Goodine, we had to wear hose every day on tour and it was horrible. Actually we all had knee Highs in our purse and when we got out of the bus we made sure we had them on and when we got back on the bus we took them off. I got busted once and had to make a bee line to the ladies room to put them on. We also could not wear jean skits for the girls and no jean pants for the guys. After a 9 hour bus ride we all looked sloppy. Years later we reminded Wayne about his rules and he said he didn't remember making us. LOL....Now with Glen and CLC we had didn't have any of those rules. We wore robes and at one point had 3 different ones. Thank God, because they were holy. Bro. Haney wanted us to worship like we were at home, clean up after ourselves and not leave wet towels on the floor. So if it was at the Gospel Music Workshop in Salt Lake City or the Hoosier Dome in Indiana, we acted like we were at home on Sunday Night! We have platform standards here and as a visual part of the leadership on the platform, we try to look our best. We don't have to wear hose but we do wear our hair up. Something that Bro. Haney used to say was, "If you want to know what I believe, look at my platform but leave the saints in the pew alone, you don't know where they are in their walk with God". Hose don't seem to be that much of an issue....Those that are on the platform need to be more careful in how they present themselves both in the physical and in the spiritual. When visiting at another church it's always better to be more conservative rather than not. When Kevin Howard directed the Dallas Metro Choir, and I was the administrator, we decided that since we had such a wide variety of convictions, we decided to go more conservative. For those that were not as strict normally, they didn't have a problem with the dress code.
