Lady, I have never seen you but I would bet not one single man, christian or not has given you compliments on those cool-lot things. If so, isn't that defeating the purpose?

I have heard of one Apostolic preacher who wore them at Camp Meeting in Colorado. The dude was from Mississippi I believe and it got so cold there at night he borrowed his wife's hose to keep him warm while on the platform in an open air A-frame for camp meeting.

Believe me, the temps dipped into the 40s in the summer time during the evening up there.

Now they have pansy-camp held in churches and such.

OH MY GOODNESS - I cannot believe this has 106 pages of posts!! And I did not read but just a few of them - geeze - This is hillarious! You people need to get a life and stop worrying about if it is a "sin" for girls to wear leggings! Just in case you did not know there are people out there that really need to hear about Jesus and once they have Jesus - why don't you let Jesus do his job.

Put your guns back in the holster and settle down a bit. If you want to actually have some conversations with Apostolics, then stick around. You'll find a topic that interests you--I promise. There are a lot of members here--some topics are deep, some aren't; some are funny, some are serious; some are personal, some are about politics and business; either way, there's a lot of variety on this forum because there's a variety of people.

Start a thread about what interests you and talk about it. But don't condemn everyone else for their small talk. What do you talk about around the dinner table? Only church stuff? Do you only quote scriptures? Talk about Sunday's sermon?

In this area it isn't the new converts wearing them. It's the pastors daughters, music minister's daughters, evangelist's daughters. Their dad's would likely condemn someone to hell over a pair of jeans. Most people consider the leggings to be similar to pants- only tighter fitting.... and they are okay with that I guess because their daughters think they are fashionable and want to wear the leggings.

My girls don't wear them. They will tell anyone that the leggings just look tacky. If they want something to keep their legs warm, they will wear hose or tights and a longer skirt.

Hey J this is not a forum you and I can be on. I have found them to be very biased. rggraig is a moderator and if she dont like your response she will delete you. This happened to me yesterday concerning a word definition. As for as I can see its the same 20 people gossiping about meaningless issues. I mean rggraig came up with the topic when do you turn your heat on. You can state fact after fact in here but it is not believed b/c you are new. I am off of here and I will see you on our regular forums.

Leggings ARE tights-just without feet in them - my child wears them to school because it is cold in the mornings but warms up during the day - just easy for her to run in the bathroom and take the leggings off - still confused a bit of why it would even be considered "wrong"
