Oh, also we had lemon ice box pie, which Eddie loves.
I will try that with my next leftover roast. I usually shred the meat add BBQ sauce to it and freeze it in small containers for BBQ sandwiches.

We had sloppy joes, tator tots, and waffle fries. I had Lay's BBQ potato chips with mine.

I just take the leftover roast - cut it up - and put in the carrots and green beans that have cooked with it. Add some frozen corn, a can of tomato soup, the gravy or juice from the roast, a little water, onion salt, some beef broth if it needs it and some Heinz ketchup. I promise the ketchup is the secret!!! It makes it have such a great sweet flavor. Eddie's mom taught me that years ago.

Peanut Butter crackers. I have been sick and in bed all day. I got up for about 30 minutes earlier to ask for prayer.

About 5:00 I took some nyquil stuff and it knocked me out until just a few minutes ago. hence the pb crackers..

If I had to cook for this many every night, I would be worn out! How in the world did women do this two or three times a day, without modern appliances? I filled the dishwasher twice!
They probably ate less back then and or filled thier stomachs with more fiber

Re: What's for Dinner Tonight?

We picked up Monterey Chicken at Chili's late this afternoon after a dental appointment, so that was an early supper. Now I have a glass of tea and a package of Austins wheat crackers with cheese.
