I Chron. 14:11 - “And Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, LORD, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O LORD our God;”
Greetings to you all wonderful folks in the precious name of Jesus. We want to thank you all for your kindness and love to our family. We deeply love you all very much. We are still rejoicing over the little crippled lady that was healed in our church last month. She had been Catholic all her life…one visit to our church and her life not only was she healed; she has repented of her sins and is now seeking the Holy Ghost.
Another lady had an incurable skin disease and after prayer she has been healed. Thank the Lord for His healing power. The Lord has been good to us and we would like to share some blessings with you
This month in our area we are dedicating one new church and trying to get another one ready to dedicate as soon as possible. We are also finishing 4 more dorms and building an extension on our church dining and multi- purpose building. Our people are helping and doing all they can to further the work in Brazil. In Belem do Para (another state in Brazil) we have just finished helping them tear down their old church and rebuild a larger church. We have been working in Paraguay and far south Brazil.
Ever since we returned from the states we have baptized someone every Sunday! God is surely moving in this country.
It seems Brazil with all her problems is in revival on every corner...not just in our churches but in the churches of different friends...God is moving... The dollar has decresed so much and with each passing
For so long Brazil was engulfed by the darkness of pagan rituals that take and never give...for so long the chains of Catholicism held the people in fear. A new day is dawning...
Brazilian preachers without the constant push from missionaries are stepping out on their own...families are beginning to support their own national missionaries...
I birthed a work 40 years ago and now have watched it mature...I am so blessed.
We are visiting our churches in the south. Yesterday one of our preachers from a distant state rode the bus to meet us to ask for help in a mission work he is building. With no outside help they got the walls up on their own, paying for the cement sand and dirt and brick…but now it is beyond their capacity…they need a roof for their building. The roof (tiles) cost 1,900.00 dollars and today I asked the Lord to show me someone to share this need with and the first person that came to my mind was you all. I don’t know if you can or are able to help them with anything on this project but I do know you can pray that someone can. If you can help in any way it would be deeply appreciated.
I know you all have helped us so much but I feel so sorry for this little preacher that is struggling along with his very poor saints and the urgency of the need. In that area of Brazil it is so dark and engulfed in devil worship and oh how they need a light to shine in that dark corner.
I know you probably have all kinds of needs on the home front and many missionaries who all need your help, however I ask to please pray and see if God would lead you to lead your church in taking a special Missions offering for this special need so that this church go through this open door of opportunity to make a greater impact for our wonderful Lord and Saviour.
Thank you for your time and your prayerful consideration. Please pray that the needed funds will come in quickly and one more people can have a place to worship God.
My prayer is that God will bless you and your Church in such a way that we all can do more to get the Gospel to a lost and dying world. Thank you all for being our friends.
Yours for the Souls of Brazil
Brother and Sister Raul Alvear
