The reason I post under my own name and have not used an alias is this I want to be responsible for what I say and how I say it. I have no reverse and a charge the hill attitude when it comes to what I believe, sometimes that is taken for unkindness which it is not meant to be. Rudeness is not a virtue.

When Boom set his account to guest on AFF, he gave up his right to put in his 2 cents worth on the forum. Stop being his messenger. If he wants to say something, he should contact Renda and have her set his account back to registered member so that he can say it himself. But of course he wouldn't do that. He'd rather use you as a messenger so that you can take the heat for his words. What an abuse of a "friendship".

"FORMER" owner is right. He gave up that position of his own free will. What makes you or him think that any of the current owners care what his opinion is? Personally, I think he needs to speak for himself instead of using YOU as his mouthpiece. He can do just that by sending a response to Renda's email.

Well, fyi, not that I think anyone's dying to know...

I have taken breaks from AFF, but have not completely left yet, because I spend the large majority of my day and evening alone with two children under age 3. Neither of whom, can carry on a conversation any deeper than "mum? truck stuck... nanny's house?... drink!....Waas dat noise?" and "aaaaa bababa gagabbaaaaaaaBAAAAAAAAAAAA... WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"

So I'm a conservative who occasionally pulls back from AFF, because at times it can be very un-edifiying, but at other times it can be a good source of adult conversation during the day.

I don't talk on the phone during the day like some do, I prefer the internet because I can simply get up and walk away from a conversation and it not be considered rude.

I have two good friends who email back and forth throughout the work week when they can... and aside from that, AFF is my only outside contact during the day.

I have stopped debating anything doctrinal, but I will still occasionally state my opinions. I haven't changed anything whatsoever I believe, I've actually strengthened a view positions I have.

That said, I wouldn't dream of leading just anyone to this forum, (or any for that matter).

So that is why at least one conservative is still here. But tomorrow I may not be, and you won't be getting any "dear AFF" letter when I do decide to leave.
