Re: Do You Believe In Women Preachers?
I am still under the weather and am supposed to go to the doctor later today however I wanted to say to you Brother Burk a woman's authority in the Body of Christ is derivative...it must come from HER Covering just as a man´s authority comes from Christ.
When I first came to Brazil I came under the covering of my pastor today I work under the covering of my husband and pastor...
I don´t feel good today but I will paste something I wrote long ago...

Re: Do You Believe In Women Preachers?
I wrote a booklet in Portuguese the language we speak her and here is a direct quote from page 40 only translating it into English. "The man was created first, being that way he has authority over the woman. From his body she was formed.... Leadership in the home is an intransferible power that God has given to the man.... He is the spiritual leader of the home..." The wife should stand back and let the husband lead for he is the head of the home, She should be as if it were her husband's shadow...his eco...she should never forget that not her but Christ is her husband's head... And so with the church but just as there are times that the woman has had to lead the home due to certain circumstances so it is with the church… there are times that a woman has stepped in with God’s approval because there was no male to take leadership.
Deborah, a judge, Lydia and other ladies held meetings in their homes yet I agree that some functions were not always God's pattern but were situationally fulfilled and performed due to a need. But at the same time we cannot say God did not put them there for He blessed them especially when no man came forth to firmly fulfill their place. She can never ideally hold an office of authority over a man but she can function situationally. I cannot imagine a Godly woman wanting to rule a man. Yet I cannot imagine a Godly woman not stepping in to help in a time of need. I wish that every church had good strong men to lead but that is not always the case.
While I have wrote many articles and helped hundreds of women become soul winners I have overlooked something that is happening in the church world today. Maybe it has been because of so little contact with the United States and being “buried” here in Brazil working for the Lord. I have noticed instead of sweet loving kind women that have come to the call of duty I am noticing so many women that say hard things against men and many homes not in the perfect order that God desires.
It seems in many places that masculine leadership is declining not only in the secular world but in the church world...
Just for you to understand I AM in no way pushing for women to lead men or take authority over a man...I am only saying there were times women were used and God is not going to send them to hell for stepping up and helping out. He choose Moses, Aaron and Miram to lead. Miram was punished not because she lead but because she got out of her place.
I think like a woman which is natural..I am well aware of the fact that NOT all women think alike but the most part of us do. As a woman of God, a mother in Israel I am very thankful for Godly men that lead and most women will agree with me.
IT is not a woman´s nature to want to lead men...and surely NOT a GOD GIVEN trait However it is not goldly to let someone die of hunger and not offer them bread...so in the light of this I say a woman can preach according to ACTS 8...
I am not saying a woman can be a part of the 5 fold ministry. I am only saying she can go everywhere as the first men and women of old and preach the gospel.
However I have never known a woman to say God called her to be a bishop...I am sure they exist but not in our church or among the people we fellowship with.
In my husband´s country (Chile) all pastor´s wife´s are called PASTORA... NOT be because they preach but because of who they are...
Is the only time God uses a woman when his people are backslid? I think not...He HIMSELF chose women to go tell the men he arose...to my thinking it should have been the other way around!
Brother Burk, I do not like to debate however as time permits I will add a few thought here and there.

No, I do not know him. Of course I've only been here for 3 years this month. I located him on the Internet and found he's about 42 miles from me.

Re: Do You Believe In Women Preachers?
The poll should have differentiated between women preachers and women Pastors.
I believe God can use a woman to preach.
I do not believe it is God's will for a woman to Pastor.
I vote,"yes".

Re: Do You Believe In Women Preachers?
I believe that God ca use a woman to declare the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost sinner in a one on basis. I believe God can use a woman to declare the Gospel to a congregation of Saints and sinners alike. I believe God can use a woman to reprove, rebuke, exhort and the rest of the things listed in that chapter that I can't remember right this second.
I don't believe it is God's will for a woman to Pastor a church.
I have heard of such happenings, and believe God has honored the works of woman who have started churches on "mission fields" foreign and domestic.
But God also allowed the Israelites to write bills of divorce-- not necessarily God's will, but He allowed it.
If a woman is Pastoring, somewhere there is a man who is AWOL.
It's not the will of God for a woman to be a Pastor, imo.
