In college, I was debating a guy who had no problem telling me that if his soon to be firstborn wasn't unconditionally elected and predestined to salvation and eternal life, he'd be okay because then the weight of trying to evangelize and win her to the Lord and keep her in the faith wouldn't be on his shoulders. He said he's be sad and all that she didn't make it like he and his wife, but otherwise...meh.
I just needed to remember that Paul refused being a striker and a brawler as acceptable Christian conduct.

Yes, true enough.
It takes both a heart that is repentant, submitted, and obedient but the Lord is still the gift giver, and the One who decides when and how to gift.

Re: Apostolic Ministers with Guts to Preach 1-Step
One lacks understanding; not guts, if he believes being born again and saved are the same conversions. Being born again is the conversion of a sinner, whereas being saved is the conversion of the child of God by being led of the Spirit. “Born again;" in Greek “gennethe anothen," means “begotten from above," John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. Jesus only taught this conversion one time in scriptures with this born again language. Man does not have the authority to change our Messiah's teaching. The Greek word "sozo," which means "save" in English comes from the root word "sos" or "safe." It is attributed to Born Again believers being led by the Spirit. Selah

So one can be born again, but not "saved"? Why must OPs constantly kick the can of salvation down the road.
You're not really saved unless you get baptized the right way with the right words .
Oh then make sure you speak in tongues or you're not really saved.
But wait there's more....
Keep the standards that your pastor says are necessary. It doesnt matter if pastors in neighboring churches have somewhat different, if your pastor says no red and no short sleeves, do it or be in rebellion which is as the sin of witch crahich
And pay tithes, cause thiefs dont enter in.
Don't miss church, especially not 2 or 3 services in a row, for we must not forsake the assembling of ourselves, to miss a few services is to risk your salvation.
And once you do all that.....you must make sure to take communion AND wash feet. If you do not wash feet you have no part with the Lord.
And once you've done all that, you better make sure your eschatology is acceptable, because preterists of any stripe are dangerous heretics.
And much more. We need an OP Mishnah to codify exactly what can and can't be done. Why not just return or the law...........or have ye already done so?

That's a circular argument. You have to prove one is saved without Acts 2:38 before you make claims OPs shoot salvation ahead of where it actually is located. Just becuas eyou make that claim does not mean it is true.
Hey, why do you reject plain statements like Mark 16:16, Acts 22:16 and 1 Pet 3:21? Ask any non-indoctrinated sinner whether or not those verses teach salvation requires baptism.

Not at all. This is a lame attempt to deflect Mike. You yourself that much of oneness pentecostalism crosses the line into legalism. In fact many see no difference between you and I, because though we disagree on soteriology proper, you reject standards as a means of salvation or "staying saved" which automatically makes you a charismatic liberal. Then couple that with your preterism and for many you are simply anathema.

that does not mean they're wrong about Acts 2:38.

Again, ask any given sinner about those verses.

Your argumentative spirit displays your nature. The word of God is for life and not strife. It is apparent that you have allot of pain, so I will pray that our Heavenly Father heals your heart.

Translation=bitter.
How original.
I would also suggest there is a distinction between an "argumentative spirit" and simply noting error. My post was pointing out that oneness soteriology starts as "3 steps" but really there is much more than 3 steps, 4 or 5, frankly, its endless. If that is being argumentative, perhaps you should tear Romans and Galatians out of your Bible, for surely you can't agree with those epistles. And probably Ephesians and Colossians also, which can be painted as "argumentative".
How you would discuss doctrine with a Catholic, a Mormon, or a JW?
