When white people vote for a white candidate, it has nothing to do with the candidate's race. When black people vote for a black candidate, it's only because of the candidate's race. Alan Keyes has always carried the black vote because black people only consider race in voting. Alan Keyes has never been a major political contender because white people vote for other white people. It is real simple, this voting stuff!

Reagan Democrats crossed the line and voted for Reagan simply because he was white.
Obama Republicans crossed the line and voted for him simply because he was black.

Gay males will vote for HRC because they like the way she dresses.
Straight females will vote for Trump because they are attracted to his confidence.

Actual policies and ideas have NOTHING to do with the decision-making of any of the voting blocs mentioned above.

It's all superficial for everyone.

I would say it is superficial, for most people. Most people vote for reasons completely removed from reality. They vote for who has the better campaign rhetoric, who has the better commercials, who has the better hair, who will support their pet projects and hobby horses.

The people I have met who actually care about the realities this nation is facing have by and large abandoned voting altogether, because they realise it's a rigged game. If voting actually worked it would be illegal.

I am sorry that you and the people you know are so cynical when it comes to voting. While I do know cynical non-voters, most people I know take voting seriously.

Trump will lose IA, NH, and SC. In the process, his campaign will lose steam. He will eventually bow out and will not secure the GOP nomination.

The GOP will put Cruz forward and the GOP will lose with Cruz leading the GOP ticket.

Trump is not appealing enough to the GOP base and Cruz does not have a broad enough appeal in the country.

There will be no need or justification for anyone to harm Trump.
