Do you have a cookbook?

We try to stay away from pre-made or frozen meals and cook our own, but it's hard at times.

My husband buys his own stuff to make sure he can eat as terrible as possible. I was late getting home yesterday and he brought out his infamous Wolf Brand Chili. How anyone eats that is beyond me. It simply looks and smells like dog food. LOL!

I like Avocado Hummus for lunch and eat that with cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce and celery. I had okra for lunch today. Wasn't in the mood for anything else. We are having tacos for dinner tonight. I make tacos about once a week. It's our favorite meal. Good grass fed beef and hormone-free sharp cheddar cheese, avocado, tomatoes, onion, lettuce on a taco shell fried in coconut oil. I rarely fry anything, but I love fried tortilla shells with my tacos. And I like them almost burnt. My sister and I laugh about that. When we get together - "Let's make tacos! Burn the shells!!"

Re: ILG - Vaccine Hysteria

We vaccinated our children, before I had even heard about "not" doing it. Thankfully, our children never have had any side effects that were lasting. I thank God for that. Going forward, with all the info out there now, it is scary to think about the possibilities of what exists within the vaccines that could react with our body.

A middle of the road approach would be to space them out at the very least, and certainly not combined together, and only get ones that prevent life threatening diseases.

I'm like you PO... I try to "cook from scratch" as well.

ND - I would suggest reading the Nourishing Traditions book by Sally Fallon. It is probably the best cookbook you can get with amazing recipes, all using real food ingredients. You can find it on amazon here and also there is a book by the same author on Baby and Child care found here

Re: ILG - Vaccine Hysteria

ndavid, you can report to VAERS without involving your doctor and I would encourage you to do so. Doctors often claim it's coincidence or couldn't possibly be related to the vaccine so adverse reactions reports are much lower than actual events.

I vaccinated my first child on schedule. She had high fevers every time and at 18 months, I decided I was done and she didn't get any more vaccines. I also declined MMR and chicken pox at her 12 month appt. She has some issues that I believe are related to vaccination.

My son has received no vaccines and has been much healthier than my daughter.

I recommend Dr. Sheri Tenpenny, Just Say No to Vaccines. in her book, she states if you have to vax, wait until child is over 2 years of age.
