But the primary cause was the cops compressing (aka choking) his neck and chest. They called it a homicide, not death by preexisting conditions.

Re: Saddened by NY Grand Jury Decision To NOT Indi
NO one to blame but the mayor who is responsible for this ,he is the one who insisted on busting people on this, cause ny has the highest cig taxes in the country ,god forbid something should interfere with their money ,lucky they aint busting people for having big gulps ,and btw 31 previous arrests will get the cops attention bottom line stop resisting, when your 6 ft 4 350 you aint going to breathe too well in any awkward position

This happens from time to time but people with preexisting conditions who are combative or resisting arrest and get subdued have had attacks and or even died
People with preexisting conditions have died from tasers

Ive yet to see the coroners report say "The primary cause"
Second a chokehold does not compress the chest
Third, Ive given you links for all that information already also showing that it was not an illegal chokehold. The one that was banned was a restriction of the air way. This move the cop did was not that. He had one arm UNDER the guys arm, raising it up. That is a restraint
Lastly, if you read any of the links I posted a Homicide is not a Murder in technical autopsy terms.
Even capital punishment is homicide...Im gonna post another link and hope this time you bother reading it

Was it the Mayor? If so I can see now why he threw the Police under the bus to cover his own but...just like we did to the CIA

I posted two links and there are others which state the coroner claimed the primary cause due to compression of the neck and chest. You ignore this because it doesn't fit your narrative or belief that Garner just died cause he was fat and had preexisting conditions.

True, but the coroner wrote compression of the NECK and CHEST. How does one get compression of the NECK, anyway? Sure wasn't the preexisting condition which did it. The compression of the chest was caused by a cop kneeling on his chest or back, which they love to do while people are on the ground in cuffs.

The video is at odds with your claim, as is the picture I posted several posts back. It clearly shows the arm under his chin, around his throat.

David, You do realize that the Grand Jury sat and looked at the "full" evidence before them and weighed that against the law?
The fact is, nobody knows exactly the charges filed with the Grand Jury against Pantaleo. The Grand Jury rendered a verdict based on those two elements (evidence and law) and came away with "no indictment".
The Grand Jury looked at the evidence and determined that they did not find malice or an intent to hurt Garner present in that evidence, determining that the case was not strong enough to move forward. Garner was in a "submission hold" and not a "chokehold". Basically, the Grand Jury found that there was no "intent" to kill Garner. Cased closed.
I noticed his wife, in her interview with Meet the Press, discussed how her husband is "heavy, very lazy, didn't like to do anything, and wasn't used to doing anything" - except being arrested 31 times. He had been arrested 8 times for selling "loosies".
Even if it is a stupid law passed by Bloomberg, it still remains the law. Don't resist arrest. You know the drill, Garner, you've been there and done that multiple times. Why? Probably because it was true that you were an unproductive individual like your wife claimed you to be.

I guess cops don't lie or plant evidence either eh? Why would someone who has complied with the law officers for the "previous" arrests all of the sudden decide not to this one time unless he was of course really innocent this time?

Eastman, a guy that is about to be arrested and doesn't want to be is going to act agitated and proclaim his innocence. Ever heard the saying that "no one in jail is guilty"? It's because those who commit crimes like to proclaim there innocence even though they are as guilty as can be.
Heck, it wasn't even the first time the guy had resisted arrest. Didn't you read his prior sheet? Do you suppose that every time he resisted arrest that he was innocent? Do you suppose that every time someone resists arrest that they are innocent?
And as to the cops planting evidence.... sure it happens. It didn't happen here though. How can you believe the guy was arrested for selling loosies 8 times prior and somehow wasn't actually doing the same thing this time? That's beyond me. Or do you think all 8 times the cops planted evidence on the guy?
Last point, no one can argue with conspiracy theories....
