Yea, Stew, I do too! Especially the part about taking Bush's words out of context. I really love factcheck!

President George H.W. Bush did so in 1991, when his address to an eighth-grade class at Alice Deal Junior High in Washington, D.C., was broadcast nationwide. The administration sent letters to all public schools urging them to watch the speech, which ended with Bush encouraging students to "write me a letter about ways you can help us achieve our goals."

This is what Bush actually said:

“Let me leave you with a simple message: Every time you walk through that classroom door, make it your mission to get a good education. Don’t do it just because your parents, or even the President, tells you. Do it for yourselves. Do it for your future. And while you’re at it, help a little brother or sister to learn, or maybe even Mom or Dad. Let me know how you’re doing. Write me a letter — and I’m serious about this one — write me a letter about ways you can help us achieve our goals. I think you know the address.”

Comparing both lesson plans of Obama and Bush - Bush's plan is about patriotism and history. Obama's plans are, largely, about himself and what he said.

I felt it was my civic duty to point out the fallacy in your link. Factcheck, apparently, warrants closer examination as it appears to, also, take things out of context.

Therefore, I can not agree with Stew (sorry, brutha! lol) when he says, "I honestly wish more of the media was like factcheck." Every source bears closer examination.

I spent a decent portion of my youth and strength on board a US Navy submarine during th cold war because I believe in the United States, it's constitution and it's ideal of individual liberty and freedom, and I felt that worth defending with my life. I saw communism as a grave threat to that ideal.

Every time I see Obama's face or hear his name I feel angry, betrayed, and I seriously want to hit something. hard.

Today, I might fight to defend my home, my family, ny friends, but I wouldn't wield a good stream of urine to defend the "Obamanation"

I have tried to give him every benefit of doubt... it aint working.

It was a good speech though...

Sometimes hope and change can do that to yah.....espically when what you hope for is not even under cinsideration and the change appears to be weakening the Constitution and just a few coins left in our pockets......

Let me get this straight - His Word is forever settled in heaven - Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled - YET - if we discuss our political likes/dislikes and agreements/disagreements, we are "spiritualizing politics" thereby making us "schizophrenic" which will cause a delay in God's plans? You are kidding, right?

Renda, that sounds good for a moment, but if you think about it, it's saying:

"Vote for the worst people you can so you can speed up the endtime. Don't take a stand against evil, since we look forward to the doomsday it will bring."
