Good point. I wonder, though, how many of us have "lettered" in the sport of manipuation. I know I have my "Letter Jacket" from raising children! Don't have to do it near as often now.

I'm afraid that as the tables turn and we will eventually become the children and our children become the parents, that our tactics will come back to haunt us as they manipulate us!!!
It is just a never ending hopefully not so vicious circle!!!!

So, basically manipulation is influence with a negative or malicious connotation.

Manipulation can be for the benefit of someone else's good. I don't think it has to be malicious, but it certainly can be.
