Re: Playing Games

I'm good at games. Mind games meant to subtly manipulate those into doing what I want them to.....

Oh.....

You mean BOARD games.

Mmmmmmmmm...

Anyone up for a rousing game of RISK?

Re: Playing Games

We got a new youth pastor at our church. People complained that the first guy, who was 32, was very immature acting. He played with the kids - dodgeball was HUGE when he was here!!

So we got this new guy. He's 23. And we were told how wonderful it is because he is "so mature for his age".

So what's the first thing he tries when he gets here? He tries his best to start a CHESS CLUB. Unfortunately, after a rousing game of dodge ball, chess seems pretty - well - dead to our kids

We had a few all night Risk games as well. My brothers and husband loved to play that game. I tend to get real aggravated playing that one.

Risk was about the only game I played, but also occasionally played one called Twix where the object was to build a bridge from one side of the board to the other while trying to block your opponent from doing the same.

Re: Playing Games

I have gotten a number of board games from Ebay. I got a lot of 6 games for just over 10 bucks. One of them was Pit! I love that game.
Among my favorites are---

Phase Ten
Mexican Train Dominos
Scrabble
Guestures
Yahtzee
Monoply
Battleship
And Many More.....

Re: Playing Games

Has anyone played any big Avalon Hill wargame? (The kind that take an hour or three to set up and dozens to play through.)
