It doesn't take a nuclear physicist to figure out the insinuation there. And the tone is, "Eeeewwwwww, you're sounding gay" and I'm reasonably certain it was said in jest.

So you tell me.....from the viewpoint of a gay person, how would that feel?

In addition to knowing I was not gay they would likely laugh it off like the Ex-Amish and the Chimney Sweepers did a few pages ago...

••I didn't start them all. But I started a couple and I'm going to do another one. I wanna talk about it, primarily because no one else wants to and it scares them to death, and secondly, because it's in our face whether we want it to be or not.

I'm not bothered when someone drops the "He might be gay" hint on me. I am who I am and I don't don't need to defend who I am. If someone wants to think I'm gay, that's their business. What I don't like is the condescension of gays in the insinuations. It can be hurtful to people we are trying to engage in dialogue. That's just shooting ourselves in the foot.

Well, your "demonstration of absurdity" just might be hurtful to some if your "demonstration of absurdity" includes laughingly dropping the "gay hint" on someone because possibly the hearer or readers will think being gay is "icky" and it will get a laugh.

You betcha, Charcoal, I'm really down right now, but the fun of it all is how easy it is to get you upset!

By the way, is there any way we could get you to honestly answer this question....."How many times have you stormed off the forum and said you were finished?" I've only been around about 14 months or so and I know of, at least, 4 times you've done it in that time-span. Do you even know how high the number is now?
