URGENT PRAYER NEEDED - Cancer
Recently my 31 year old niece and her husband moved to our area and have been living with us while they found jobs, etc.
To make a long story short we ended up having to take her to the emergency room last night and she was diagnosed with a cancerous pelvic tumor. I am writing this a 4:18 am and a short time ago they transported her by ambulance from the Hospital in our town to a major one in Nashville where she will undergo emergency surgery later today.
She is very frightened and needs prayer for not only this disease attacking her body but her state of mind.
We appreciate your prayers for this young woman. Also please pray for her immediate family who live in nearby states. We had to call them at 3 am this morning and give them the terrible news that their daugther, granddaughter, has cancer at this early age.

The diagnosis is ovarian cancer. There is so much fluid on her lungs that they cannot do the surgery today. They are going to drain her lungs today and all night tonight then perform the surgery tomorrow.
They are afraid that with that much fluid in her lungs and some other indications that an ovary has burst which will be very bad since that will have spread the cancer. Best case scenario is that this has not happened and the cancer is confined to the one ovary and tumor. The Oncologist said this type cancer in someone this young (31) is very rare. Please continue to pray for her.

GREAT LORD GOD, we have heard the diagnosis and although it is bad, we know that YOU are well able to turn it around! If You would see fit, turn this diagnosis into a Victory Report, in JESUS NAME!! Thank You for what You will see fit to do for this precious young lady and wife!

I was at the hospital today when the Oncologist visited to lay out the situation before surgery tomorrow.
He said the bad things are the way the tumor looks in the CT scan (It looks like a cancerous tumor and what you would see on a 60+ year old woman) and the fact she has so much fluid on her lung. He said if she were 50 years old then he would be 90+% sure the tumor he saw was cancerous.
The good things are that she is young, 31, and there is no history of cancer in either side of her family. This gives him hope that despite the way it looks the tumor could be benign.
The surgery could go a lot of different ways from the best case scenario of only having to remove a non cancerous tumor to a worst case scenario of the cancer having spread and her having to undergo a complete hysterectomy and chemo.
