Elena Kagan Isn't ‘Kosher’

According to the 850 Orthodox members of the Rabbinical Alliance of American, Kagan in not fit to sit on the Supreme Court.

Interesting take by Mark Levin.

Quote:
Jewish Clergy Group: Elena Kagan Isn't ‘Kosher’ to Serve on Supreme Court

Levin told CNSNews.com that his fellow rabbis--and hundreds of thousands of Orthodox and traditional Jews--are puzzled at the president’s choice of Kagan.

“What exactly was Obama thinking, President Obama thinking, when he nominated Kagan? Because eventually, down the road, someone--or some group--is going to ‘take the hit’ for the crazy decisions that Kagan is bound to make. So we would have much preferred if President Obama had given this ‘distinction’ to another minority group, instead of singling out the Jews.”

Re: Elena Kagan Isn't ‘Kosher’

This is an interesting quote by Levin, while I do not disagree that there are many Jews that disagree with E.K's nomination to to sit on the Supreme Court; I do not see how this is 'singling out the Jews'.

Did President Obama nominate E.K. because she is Jewish? or Did President Obama nominate her because she is a Harvard graduate? or Did President Obama nominate her because she is from Chicago and a graduate of the University of Chicago? or Did President Obama nominate her because he feels she would be a fair and impartial judge?

His reasons for nominating here I do not know, however, I do not feel that she can be a fair and impartial judge? I also do not feel that she was nominated because she is Jewish. Her actions as the Dean of Harvard Law School are an example of that. I do think that she was nominated because she attended Univ. of Chicago, as well as Harvard University. I disagree with her nomination. By the way I have been watching the Confirmation hearings for E.K. and she had a terrible time dancing about answering for her actions at Harvard. In my opinion she has also had a terrible time answering other questions by the Judiciary Committee. I am very uneasy that she has never made a ruling, yet, feels that she can do so at the highest level of law in this country.

(I've embedded the link to read what she wrote..this is the action that I am referring to.)
