Goodbye --- Slán
Ireland --- Eire

Rather than saying "goodbye," an Irish person may say "safe home." Another common expression is "God bless the work," a greeting used when entering the company of a person who is working. When the Irish say "great craic" (pronounced "crack"), they mean they are having fun.

Thanks for the wonderful send-off Bro. Ron!

In less than 24 hours we will be in the air!

I'm grateful that we'll get to fly overnight during our normal sleep cycle and arrive there Monday morning ready to go.

And if I have to learn THAT language...well...let's just say I'm gonna be in a whole lotta trouble!!!

Guess I better get used to liking green, huh???

Maybe The MRS. can get a baseball cap that says Ireland on it ,and maybe she'll learn to step dance a jig or it.
When I was in the world I used to listen a band called the Fairport Convention that did ,Celtic sounds in a contemperary or rock type setting.
Alot of country and Bluegrass music has celtic roots.
