The tragedys CNN forgot

While the news focus has been on VT, these are the names of the young folks who died in Iraq last week, their families deserve as much prayer, and recognition, as anyone else.

Pfc. Richard P. Langenbrunner

1st Lt. Shaun M. Blue

Lance Cpl. Daniel R. Scherry

Lance Cpl. Jesse D. Delatorre

Pfc. Lucas V. Starcevich

Pfc. Aaron M. Genevie

Sgt. Mario K. De Leon

Pfc. Steven J. Walberg

Their death wasn't sensational, wasn't a worthy news item, didn't cause anyone to talk. But these young men last week gave the ultimate sacrifice. They are worthy of note. Most of them were United States Marines. ooo ahh

Bro. John, I am sure that people have not forgotten and it is good of you to mention their names here.

It's just that VT is a killing here and of such a magnitude that it has everyone's attention, and rightly so.

But it surely doesn't mean we have forgotten the sacrifice of the men and women in Iraq and Afganistan.

Again, it is wonderful that you posted their names here...

The news was all about one whacko with a gun. Those boys died stopping 10,000 wackos with guns, from coming here.

That thing was awful, and it merited attention, but sometime somethings eclipse other things that need remembering.

Agreed...I do agree that we should remember...on ABC every Sunday morning, George Stephanopoulos always lists the names of those killed the previous week, and I'm sure many others do also.

It was in Virginia VA not Vermont VT.

It's a sad day when men who give their lives for this country are forgotten and a sicko evil coward gets the front page.
